New Jackpot Winners
That and the do you think the jackpot will roll and become a new record? polls. We have mathematicians that can give accurate probabilities of a jackpot rolling the next draw but the only statistic to evaluate if the next $12 million jackpot will get to over $300 million is the same fact with all jackpot runs; more money is wagered when the jackpot gets higher. People can justify their your guess is as good as mine vote by saying they flipped a coin so it's not like it promotes disc

Fergus Frater was just another joker, remember Bod Pagani the so-called out-of-work truck driver who claimed he won the $365M PowerBall jackpot last year, ABC scooped the story and ran with it. Good Morning America and World News Tonight did on-camera interviews with this guy. With MM and PB reaching record highs again, we may see another hoax here the states again. https://www.lotterypost.com/news/129113

Players warned lottery about tickets flaw
Gov. Phil Bredesen told The Associated Press that the programming mistake was a blip on the lottery's otherwise strong track record. He told the AP it probably would not affect bonuses paid out to lottery officials based on sales. Lottery chief Rebecca Hargrove's bonuses can amount to 65 percent of her more than $380,000 annual salary, the AP said. This is comforting to know......

Lottery winner goes from rags to riches to rags
Too true. This is a great article. A nice record of how this winner burned out. One thing to remember is that this money is not lost . It was simply moved to someone else - realtors, car dealers, jewelry dealers, and sadly, sellers of trashy trinkets and drug dealers. That is likely the saddest part - better funding of drug dealers.

Powerball & Megamillions Growing
This is quoted from the PowerBall website: Whenever the Powerball jackpot reaches a record level, the amount of the jackpot prize is limited to increases for each draw of no more than $25 million. The difference that 340-315=25 and 365-340=25 is just a coincidence and has nothing to do with the increase cap. If you don't get it now, then there's no hope for you to get it at all.

question about the jackpots...
If I understand your question correctly: each line is a completely separate game so each line can win a prize based on the numbers you match. If you played 5 lines and matched 4 of the regular number and got the PB or MM on one line you'd win 4 4+0 prizes and 1 4+1 prize. On a related note, if PB reaches a new record and money goes into the 5+0 bonus pool I think it makes more sense to play two lines with different PB's than to choose powerplay. If you were to match 5+0 on both you'd collec
