Virginia Lottery wasn't quite ready for Mega Millions game changes
This will teach people a lesson. However I also will blame the news media when the jackpots soar past 100 million and the news media will try to overdo the news reports. All the people that bought tickets from that state should get comped regardless of human error. It's not the machines its the idiots that run the machines.

Poll-Are you buying a ticket for 10/31 MegaMil?
My asking was not to mock.It is just that after asking that question, you segued into you having a better chance of making more money on Amazon.l would wager that If you won either the MM or PB jackpots at any stage, l seriously doubt that you would make millions more.... on Amazon. Unless your thinking is to win either jackpot, and then invest in Amazon.....at present. If that is your thinking.. well yeah! Peace.

Mathematics and the Lottery
I totally agree with RL. I play along with MADDOG's MM and PB contest, but I don't wager on either game, so no worries for me with sharing jackpots.

Michigan player win 1 million in Mega Millions last night
Usually when they don't post where the ticket was sold it is someone who bought the ticket online from the official Michigan website. I checked and it doesn't list where it was sold so whoever it is probably got it online. BTW I see someone just hit the FastCash for about $170K The Jackpots weren't up high enough on either game for me to give it a shot so it wasn't me.

New York instant scratch off 1 million dollar winners info
I always thought it made sense to buy the older games since there are less tickets out there and everyone else abandons them for the new games loaded with more and newer prizes. Yes, the jackpots are limited, but your odds are now better since the games have been out for over a year. For example, $3,000,000 Benjamins, Gold Castle and Money Vault, have been around forever, and I never see anyone buy them anymore, but I still win $100 now and then. It's only a matter of time before someone grabs t

I Am Not Impressed. (MM)
I'm getting on the F eM train and pulling my MM budget out of the race. I will put my $6 in the pot once it gets to a billion, other than that forget it! It's ALL or nothing with these folks. I read a report a few years ago stating that if they would lower the odds of the minor prizes, 4+M and below, 24% and increased the pay outs of those minor prizes 52% there would be 68% more winners. Of that 68% 94.8% would put all that money back into the lottery! More winners - more money being put back i

Mathematics and the Lottery
The only stat that really matters is if you are making money on a somewhat consistent basis. The only players making any money are those winning the jackpots or second prizes and no one is doing that consistently.

Odd Brits furious that lottery jackpot is so high
Allow people from the US, especially in California or the East coast to buy tickets online for their games lol. Then they ll get to complain about jackpots never, ever rolling and it being way too easy for winners to win.
