What if someone interferes ??
Fwup-You are so right. What we need are some more lottery rules regulations. I think everyone who wins a major jackpot must take a IQ test. People with below average intelligence should not be eligible to receive their money.I also think these winners need to be checked out by the FBI to make sure they aren't sleeper agents for some terrorist regime. We wouldn't want them using the winnings for terrorist activities and such.We also need to run a criminal background check on all the winners to

Once again, U.S. tries to shut down Internet gambling
Legislation focused on cracking down on the thriving business of online gambling was introduced in Congress this week to tighten existing laws that outlaw the practice in the U.S.
The Internet Gambling Prohibition Act, sponsored by Reps. Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) and Rick Boucher (D-VA), would update the U.S. Wire Act, which prohibits gambling over telephone wires, to cover use of the Internet to operate a gambling business.
The bill not only forbids a gambling business from accepting payment

Are we at the mercy of the store owners and cheating clerks when it comes to scratch of tickets ?
Is there a reason neither you nor this former employee reported it to the lottery?
You cannot be up in arms about a lottery seller doing something probably illegal and definitely unethical and not do anything about it. It puts you and your friend on the same level as this scammer. We aren't just at the mercy of amoral lottery sellers. We're also at the mercy of those who see or know about these activities and do nothing. It costs nothing to make an anonymous report to the lottery office but

Lottery winner's lifetime of money gone in weeks
This is a sad example that money can't buy everything. I'm sure the way his family (the leeches, that is) saw it, he's too mentally unfit to properly appreciate the money. But their use of it, even in abusing his mental incapacities, was a bit short sighted. What I don't understand is- how was he able to even deal with all the opening of bank accounts, getting cashiers checks, etc.? I don't view that as do-able activities for someone with such mental capacities. BTW people- Paranoid Schizophreni

Lottery industry facing new threat in 'skill' games
State lotteries are grappling with the rapid spread of unregulated skill gaming machines, which are found in convenience stores, bars, restaurants and taverns across the country.
While these machines have existed for some time, their manufacturers and operators have become increasingly aggressive in their roll out strategy, placing these machines in the front of stores and even replacing lottery self-service terminals with them. Individual lotteries predict these machines could reduce their r
