Over $9.5 million in unclaimed lottery winnings expiring soon in Washington
No, there is nothing fishy about the retail system in Washington. Just like every other state, there are millions of dollars worth of unclaimed tickets that expire every year. People buy tickets put them in the glove box in their car, an old shoe box or drawer in their home and forget all about the tickets. I have read countless stories where someone was cleaning out their car one day and found a bunch of lottery tickets in the glove box. They had the tickets checked and found a major winner, da

The Most Essential Skillset To Beat The Lottery
Something I should have added to my original post...... I couldn't care less if the lottery is random or not. I pay absolutely no attention to anybody that thinks it is. Hell, I don't even care what those that think it's not random have to say!
I've never won a jackpot in the 25+ years I've been playing the lottery. At best I've had modest success using the number behaviors that I mentioned.
I mainly play Pick5 games. I can't count the number of Pick5 Free Tickets I've won. I can match t

Montana Lottery aims to prohibit bulk purchases after group takes gamble on $1.6 million jackpot
So a well designed lottery game in your estimation is one where the odds are so high, no one ever wins the jackpot, but the state in question gets money forever.
OK, dude.
The rest of us here are glad you don't run our state lottery as we actually buy lottery tickets to win.
Now, you may be correct when referring to the new Megamillions @ $5.00 per ticket. As I wrote when it first was proposed, you will see America's first $3 ,4 or 5 billion lottery jackpot. Who knows how high it wi

Location of Winners
There are several factors that contribute to this phenomenon in my country:
- *Accessibility and Marketing*: Lottery tickets are often more accessible in lower-income areas, with more retailers and prominent advertising. This can make it more likely for people in these areas to buy tickets.
- *Financial Stress*: People in lower-income areas may feel more financial stress and see the lottery as a way to escape their financial difficulties. This can lead to more frequent purchases.

Thief breaks into Michigan Lottery retailer and steals reported thousands in tickets
Well there was a store around where I live also some years ago now at least a few, where the store, a small convenience store, was broken into in the middle of the night, I think maybe like 4:00AM in the morning. Glass smashed everywhere, right in lottery tickets and cigarettes and gone. Not too long after that though, the store just stopped selling lottery tickets completely and they sold them for years too. I mean it definitely does happen.
Honestly, people that play lottery have an addict

The South Carolina Lottery announced on Tuesday that lottery players can now purchase tickets with a debit card.
It's easier for South Carolina residents to buy lottery tickets now that state lawmakers have signed off on an additional payment method for lottery purchases.

Powerball
I know me, and I'd feel exactly as you would even though I play for entertainment. There are Hardrock casinos located near me, but I've never been. The only other form of gambling I do besides playing the lottery is in The Stock Market, which I've done for the last 45 years. Over that 45 year time period I've made more money than I ever invested, but there were a few times (like in 2000 and 2008) when I didn't do so well.
For me personally, in addition to the above, there's this - I have a
