Explain the multiplier please! How many 10s 5s 4s 3s 2s are there in the system from which the computer chooses? Shouldn't there be 5 balls for 5 possible multiplier numbers? We have our pool tickets for the Tuesday draw. The best we did was a 3 times multiplier. This is two draws is a row where the highest multiplier was a 3. The Powerball jackpot is also large enough for our pool to play. So when the Mega Millions jackpot is won, we can switch to playing Powerball. We have played the Mega Millions game 15 draws in a row. i think out of spite, we'll play more Powerball, self picked numbers, with the multiplier. at least when we get a high multiplier, it's applied to all lines of play. we don't sit there like a wage slave hoping they throw us a bone on one line with a x10. and, last we checked, 10 times nothing is still nothing.

I used to buy one ticket for Mega on Tuesday and Friday, adding the multiplier on each. Cost $6 per week. Now, I only buy one ticket for Mega on Tuesday. Total cost $5 per week. I refuse to spend $10 per week on Mega! Also, I don't think it's fair that some get a 10x multiplier when others get 2x.

they don't conduct a separate drawing for the megaplier any more. now it's just the machine that prints your tickets also gives you a multiplier for every line you buy, and for every line it's random. so if you matched only the megaball on one line, and you just so happened to have 10x on that line, you would get $50. i got this image from a tx lottery video. see how each line has its own multiplier? i never bought the megaplier under the old format so it was a little confusing for me at fir

Mega Millions prizes updated on Predictions Board
Just a heads-up that the Predictions Board for Mega Millions has been updated, both for the new price point ($5), as well as for the simulated payouts awarded. Because the average random multiplier printed on tickets is 3x, I have set the predictions payouts to a 3x multiplier. So matching just the Mega Ball in a prediction will award $15, a 1 + 1 match will award $21, and so on. Please let me know if you see any discrepancies after the system processes the payouts Tuesday night. Thanks!
