E-mail lotteries?
For the reasons BobP mentioned, I would never enter them, period. They are nothing more than a way to selling you e-mail address to spammers. And once you get yoru address on a spam list, it will be like that commercial, and she told two friends, and they told two friends, and they told two friends... as the spammers propogate your e-mail address to more and more spam lists. Pretty soon you'll be looking for a new e-mail address because that one will be useless, with the amount of spam it w

Thanks Todd
For those using AOL, if your mail is going to your spam folder because it contains links, just go to your spam folder, highlight the Lottery Post message and then click on this is not spam . It will be transferred to your mailbox and all subsequent messages from that sender will go into your regular mailbox.

Todd, aka CBW
Sorry, I didn't know she was OK with her e-mail address being posted. Personally, even though everyone knows my e-mail address, I would never post it on a forum, because that increases the number of spam messages you get. (Spam robots automatically surf the internet continuously, seeking out new e-mail addresses to send spam to.)

AOL is rejecting our e-mail
Are you saying that you can't send an email from yourself to your own screen name your signed on to. If that is the case then you have to go to your email control panel and correct the settings.Aol only sends spam to a spam folder if it reconizes it as spam. In order for that to happen you have to send it to the spam folder for the first time. After that no email with that address will come to your mail box again. Unless you have that web address in your mail box. Mail controls are tricky if the

AOL is rejecting our e-mail
And I have to add that AOL blocks my own e-mails as well as SPAM. This thing really is bad and ridiculous. I cannot even contact them to their support e-mail to sort this matter out, as it rejects even my e-mails for the same reason! Isn't this illegal, what they do? Do they have the right to block e-mails just because they believe it is SPAM, even if it is not? I'm against SPAM of course but obviously this is not a solution to this matter.

Warning to AOL Users
There isn't one internet service provider that dosen't have problems from time to time. Get over it. They will have the problem fixed soon. With aol's new spam filters and such if they get to many rejected emails sent to a spam folder they automatically detect it as a nusance and eliminate it. Aolers can set their spam filters to allow or block certain senders make sure your spam controls are set to accept lotterypost. As Todd stated this problem is in the front office of aol's mailer system and
