Congratulations on the win. I get one Lucky for Life ticket almost everyday. If I win, I am keeping that a secret forever. Will take the winning and add it all to the retirement account and act like nothing happened. Well, if I win tonight's PB jackpot, am keeping that a secret as well

Idaho man wins the lottery for the 18th time over 30 years
He says playing [the] lottery is simply something he and his wife have always done for fun together, the Lottery explained. Stopping for gas. Picking up groceries. Grabbing a ticket along the way. It's become part of life. I believe this is true for so many of us, maybe we are stopping at the wrong places Congratulations on the win. Aside: I would like to see a spread sheet of the weekly or monthly lottery budget or money spent

Balancing Odds and Cost 😁
If I ever win something that big, most of it would be used for or left to grassroots causes. Spread out over things like a food pantry, a cat rescue, after school activities for underprivileged kids, senior care, dog shelter, and so on. All of those community needs that don't get funding because it doesn't make money for the already wealthy. Friends or family would get something, just not like 100 mil. No one needs that kind of money, including myself. What I see in big jackpots isn't a big

Balancing Odds and Cost 😁
What I'd like at this stage of my life is generational wealth. (That's what I meant by That would include both present and future members of my family ) My wife and I are retired and today we have a good quality of life but we're by no stretch of the imagination wealthy. We had a nice quality of life while we were working too. Hopefully what a big win would do for us is set up our kids and grandchildren with the same quality of life we had during our working years and still enjoy today. G5

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
I talked to Confucius and he says that a person who expects to have a chance to win thinks that a $5 entry fee is worth it. But a person who thinks that winning is as likely as getting struck by lightning three times will rather spend $2 on the other big lotto, and use the remaining $3 (x number of times played) for life expenses. Because most of us aren't rich... yet, and likely ever. I can dream just fine with a $2 powerball ticket. Calling megamills names like measly is just making f

Impact of "Free Money" on Lottery Spending
I'm a mental accounting guy myself. Last week I won 40 bucks playing a dice game called Left, Right, Center. The Old Fogies that live around here play it at The Activity Center once per month. They get a group of maybe 100 people sitting around tables rolling dice trying to win the pot . Unbelievable how LOUD those fogies start screaming when they start rollin' them bones. From lookin' at 'em, you wouldn't think they had that much life left in 'em. (Not that I aint an Old Fogie myself or nu

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
I got my $3 PB ticket for Wednesday draw. I would love a $2M win, but the reset jackpot is still a life changing sum of money. Good luck to all - whether one adds the power play or not - it's all a personal preference - as long as in the event one wins the second prize, they don't entertain the thought of what if I played the extra dollar
