Employee hacks into online poker site
I know it's not the same - but this is just one more reason NOT to have computerized drawings for lottery games. Actually, I wouldn't mind if the individuals handling the balls were blindfolded!

Hoosier Lotto in a dry spell
I, for one, am really glad to see this issue raised again in Indiana. There has already been one attempt to legislate computerized drawings out of existence there, maybe (hopefully!) this will spark another attempt. I hope it also gets notice in Tennessee, where the oversight meeting is just a couple of weeks away.

Tenn. Lottery CEO claims recent errors didn't hurt sales
Lottery sponsor questions move to computerized drawings Three recent mistakes made by the Tennessee Lottery have not hurt ticket sales, the lottery's president and CEO said, but the legislator who led the effort to create the lottery questions the lottery's move to computerized drawings. At this point, sales in our products are up, so it hasn't had any impact that we can measure at all, Rebecca Hargrove said Wednesday. We're almost 4 years old, and we've had three incidences, which if t

Tennessee Lottery takes back refund offer
It seems that with each passing error on thier part that the TN lottery folks just continue to get more brazen. I hope that the upcoming investigation results in a shake-up there, and that they start giving the consumers what they want and deserve! Stop computerized drawings!

Engineer reported bad Tenn. Lottery computerized draws
Good point, and good for you. I'm glad that this issue is making people stand up and take notice. It is upsetting to think that any lottery could get away with this by temporarily offering up a mere 20% prize increase. Then, it's back to business as usual. Maybe if enough people hold on to their money they will be force to do something mroe radical. Perhaps maybe even to listen to the players, who almost universally hate computerized drawings.

I've said it before, stop buying lottery tickets and see how quick they have a change of heart about computerized drawings. Thats the government spirit, spend more money to an outside consultant...>>>>>>?? I really feel sorry for the people of Tenn...!

Winning Hot Lotto ticket sold in New Mexico
New Mexico Lottery officials say one of two winning tickets for Saturday's Hot Lotto drawing was sold in New Mexico. The other ticket was sold in Minnesota. The winners will split a $1.9 million jackpot. The New Mexico winning ticket is the first Hot Lotto jackpot winner for the state since the game first went on sale there in November, 2006. The New Mexico Lottery also offers Hot Lotto's better-known sibling, Powerball. Hot Lotto is played in nine other states. It's been dubbed th

Wisconsin man claims $14.4M lottery jackpot
You're kidding, right? (Maybe the folks on Lottery Post should sign a petition against RNG's?) Have you ever seen this graphic, which has been on every page in this whole site for the past 4 years?? (Currently almost 4,000 signatures) Regarding your other points, OF COURSE somebody wins in a computerized drawing. That is completely irrelevant to the idea that computerized drawings should be banned. Saying something like that only plays into the hands of these people trying to s

Hackers & the lottery...
There is a bit of difference between a hacker and Lotto guru ? I'm not retarded. I was just giving my take on computerized drawings, that's all. I've been trained in computer repair, networking, and programming. I know for a fact that hackers are not dumb and slow. They are very smart, that's why they can figure out the things they figure out. Targeting that post towards me is useless.
