The Supreme Court of Canada has dismissed an appeal from a Quebec man who tried to claim a $27 million jackpot based on a lottery ticket printed seven seconds after the cut-off time. On Thursday, Canada's top court said it would not hear Joel Ifergan's lottery case. The SCC dismissed his request for an appeal with costs. Yesterday, Wednesday, 02/04/2009 I gave Players one Pick-3 number to play, good for ALL states: 9-5-7. The number fell in two states; Ohio: 9-7-5, and Quebec: 5-9-7. Congratulations to the Players in Ohio and Quebec, Canada who got the wins. The 579 [Boxed] is a 6-way number; 579-597-759-795-957-975, playing all the combinations at fifty cents would cost a total of $3.00 ($1.50 at the On-Line store). Quebec had its first drawing of Jour de paye last night, which is a 6/36 game that replaces the retired Joker game. I really like this trend AWAY from games with gimicky features, like Joker had with its selection of one of the J-O-K-E-R letters instead of using a number. I am told that 233 has not fallen straight in any North American lottery since August 25th 2024. That's about 13,976 draws cold. Give or take. By way of comparison, that would be the equivalent in the common two-draw-a-day lotteries of about 19 years of draws. Workups come and go, but my all-time favorite is the Date workup.
