Mega Millions back in June went up only 9 Million on a 250+ million jackpot roll. Tonight if it rolls it'll go from 30M to 38M. What the hell is going on with these fast moving jackpots? Looks like the slow increase season has ended.

I think 31M$ increase is too conservative. Yes, the pot is growing slowly, but that slowly? My guess is 38-42M$.

I'm hoping for $453 M, a $31 M increase from the current $422 M, and not out of line based on recent rollovers. That would put the CV at $312 M, my magic win number. And on a positive note, I will be traveling in a couple of the can't lose states this coming week!

I passed high school math. Times have changed quite a lot in lottery terms between 2012 and today. There would be a big increase in sales once it crosses into a billion, but no where near what it was in 2012 or in the big one from January. The goal post for a large jackpot has changed. A billion dollar jackpot today would get 1-2 winners with a slight chance of it rolling or 3+ winners.

And if it rolls tonight we'll see a whopping increase to $422 million (cash value of 291.8). Since the recent MM run only went from 390 to 415 I'm not even optimistic about the chances for the final tally to make it past 425.
