Powerball sales skid hurts lottery profits
Once again the PB powers that be are sticking it to us by increasing the already near impossible odds all under the guise of increasing jackpots because some people are not happy with winning thirty to seventy million dollars. Come on people-- give me a break! $30,000,000 isn't enough when you make $35,000 - $90,000 a year????I think I'm gonna retire from Powerball and play games with much better odds. You can have the PB and the MM game. I'm not gonna participate in somebody's delusion th

MegaMillions pool strategies.
This is the test file for tonight's OHIO649P drawing with the actual numbers that would be played. I will check it after the drawing.FILE : OH072005 01 02 15 36 46 49 09 11 23 28 43 46 18 23 34 35 41 43 02 03 10 15 46 49 19 28 39 40 45 47 04 17 18 23 35 40 04 09 11 13 27 42 09 27 29 34 39 43 02 10 13 17 29 45 19 20 22 28 41 42 01 03 20 22 47 49 03 22 34 39 43 49 03 18 19 35 36 45

CA screws players
California sold over 5.3 million tickets in last nights drawings. They only gave out $508,855 is their so called pari mutual prize structure. That's only a 9.6% return. How can that be. They have to give 50% out in prizes don't they. I am pretty sure they didn't put 40.4% of their sales into the jackpot pool. Anyone else see this. Anyone else with answers? I am sure glad I don't live in California Brad

Maddogs Powerball Challenge 7/16
Now that I have scored 0+0 twice in this challenge that means I have successfully eliminated 18 numbers twice from the pool of 53 numbers without eliminating one of the winning numbers. If I can figure out how I did it, I might be able to apply the logic in my MegaMillions numbers selections and improve my odds of winning. The MegaMillions game is played in Ohio so I usually play it every week and to play PowerBall I have to travel to Indiana for ticket so I only play it when it's $100M+. Win

NY Lottery... look in here
Playing a mere $1 for a $46 million 6/59 game doesn't make sense to me. NY Lotto players should start pulling out the stops until it's hit.I agree with JS9 about the prize percentage problem: it is the legislature. However, the NY Lottery, being a political organization of sorts, could lobby strongly to increase the prize pool, and I don't get the feeling that they do. From the customer service responses I've seen, they bend over backwards to justify their situation, rather than to sympathize

Arriving at the lottery headquarters
My choice- (which isnt listed) would be by a trusted friend or family member driver. PLus since I'm in a group lottery pool, we'll probably all take the one guys fire truck and arrive that way! (He's the firechief in our town). I agree with wearing a disguise. Why not! :) Grab a wig, some goofy glasses , funky teeth, and a propeller hat! Wait a sec! Thats what I look like now ! Okay scratch that idea! *grin*

Powerball lottery creator patents new games
I looked up the patents he applied for. The first is for what we know as The Blue Game , as in the player picks only one number from the second pool, while the lottery picks two or more. That's the first patent. The second patent also includes the game aforementioned, plus an interesting pari-mutuel prize system. A reserve fund is taken out, and it's used to increase the the lower prize levels in a state or country that has sold a jackpot winner. For example, if Pennsylvania sells a jackpot win

Anyone know a Counting Formula or System?
I could see some use for that feature, for example in the last PowerBall drawing 07//02/05 the winning numbers were 09 10 29 39 52 +20. the 09 hit 3 previous draws, 10 hit 4 previous draws, 39 hit 5 previous draws, 29 hit 11 previous draws and 52 hit 14 previous draws which means all 5 winning numbers were included in the previous 14 drawings. Checking the whole file reveals that happened about 25% of the time and the number pool was 33-44 numbers. Knowing that one could just cover the most li

Giving away you lottery prize
I had started a Mega Million pool a few months ago when the jackpot was well over 100million. Everyone was eager to join in, that's everyone except for one person who thinks that most of us are beneath her . I politely asked her if she would like to join in. She proceeded to tell us how crazy we were, and how we would be taking a dollar out of here pocket to gamble with. The funny thing is that, after everyone at the table had put their monies up she started asking everyone at the table, if yo

Lottery Pools??
For all the talk of contracts, notarized statements and contracts, sounds as though a person would be signing up for a lot of headaches and possibilities for taking a bath by being a part of that sort of 'pool'.I think I'd prefer just to trust close friends to buy tickets for me if I want them from another state. And if I don't have friends there, guess I'll just forego playing that lottery.I interject this because I've had a couple of PMs telling me I could play in any state I want to without
