Oldest Couple in Canada to win Lottery
Did they pick cash option? If so, congratulations to them and probably they'll retire happily forever. I agree they should have picked it sooner if they were taking annual payments.

Jeff hits a winner!
As I stated earlier, I am NO pro! Hey Jeff, got any picks for tonight? How about the rest of the week? I really just need numbers until I earn enough money to retire okay? Thanks! :)

Connecticut Gov. considers dumping Powerball
CASH,I'm sure it's only a matter of time before they retire UfL. I would be suprised if moving it really generated any more sales.I still would like to see WINFALL in PA (even though MI got rid of it).

Connecticut Gov. considers dumping Powerball
smd:I like the change to the annuity. I wish PA would offer a cash option for UfL or retire the game (instead of switching the draw nights).

Will a Lottery Post member ever win?
Of course one of us will win or already has. I know one day my numbers will come in I will let you all know when it does. However, before I win it will probly be some idiot who does not know what to do with the money, or how to invest and will be broke in one year(must be talking about my red neck neibhores(sorry to those decent red necks)). Any way I know I need to win how else will my parents be able to retire?

How much to retire?
$4,000,000 cash value. After taxes, I should be able to get $60,000 a year from a high-yield savings account. That's enough to retire on.

Another high second prize payout for PB!!
True, especially for higher prize levels but if its a 5 million state pot an one of 80 would be a big split. Better than nothing but you aren't going to be retiring on it. If I ever hit any jackpot it would be my goal to retire.

about lotteryprofit
Exactly, No one will ever get rich off Pick 3 or Pick 4. By rich I mean able to retire, and live well. But the scenario you suggest is exactly the kind of thing that would work.....if any of us can ever come up with anything that works that consistently over the long run.

lottery goals
I think my goal is to win enough to get a house and retire. What kind of house and retirement are determined by how much I win but it starts at about 5 million after tax.
