The problem with making the odds better for smaller prizes is that the jackpot will suffer. Sales was falling off and the only way to fix it was to change the matrix so there would be larger jackpots to sell more tickets. It worked. For those that want smaller prizes and a better chance to win them, there are many games such as Cash 5, All or Nothing, Lucky 4 Life, and the Pick3/Pick 4 games. Also scratch offs. There's something for everyone.

Exactly. A lot of very far-fetched theories with no logical or factual foundation. The reality is most are just pissed they did not win. Even me, but I expect that most of the time that is how it is with big jackpots. But I also expect that one day I will will be te winner. Already came close matching 4 out of 5 and it was a QP and a bad combo . 05 07 08 09 30 Winning numbers were 07 08 09 14 30. If that 5 were a 14 I would have had $1.6 million.

Now that the dust has settled on the Powerball jackpot. .
mmmmmm, JoshUK, I would have to say no for the jackpot to increase any faster. I think some people are burnt out on seeing the same places hitting the jackpots. Another large jackpot will go to New York, Florida, Ca. or Texas.

Just go to the Mega Millions and Powerball websites and look at the winners galleries. It shows winners and states year by year. One of the sites that was giving out lotto advice yesterday said that Pennsylvania has won 16 jackpots in the last 13 years.

Record $1.6 billion Powerball jackpot won by 3 tickets
Lol, I'll take one of those low jackpots....funny, people actually look at that kind of money that way after seeing huge JP's...and I can tell you without a doubt, if I or someone in my home town won one of those measly little 90 million ones, people would care....a lot! :) But, just cuz the JP is lower, the odds are still the same....darn it :)

Record $1.6 billion Powerball jackpot won by 3 tickets
My state sucked, I don't even think there were any 4+0 or 4+1 winners at all LOL! Oh well back to normal low jackpots. The one major advantage you have to winning a $100,000,000 jackpot is that no one cares!

Record $1.6 billion Powerball jackpot won by 3 tickets
I did not say I won I said I plan to and almost did twice. I was a Platinum member way back for awhile but someone bought it for me as a gift because they liked my posts. But if I had that much money being Platinum would not do me much good as I don't use this site much except for occasional posting and when jackpots get big. I would be on even less then. I have also contributed here for about 11 years now. If I won big I might upgrade then especially if something appeared to help me win but I w

Who Do You NOT Want To See Win a Top Lottery Jackpot Prize?
Yes,I know. The only reason I said that is because the 80 year olds seem to be the ones that win the big jackpots and, I'm nowhere near 80! Good luck!

$1.5 BILLION: Wednesday Powerball record jackpot still rising
Couldn't be any better written. Folks need to think of the positives. Taxes are inevitable no matter what, so get over it. Do you complain about the work taxes? I never do. Mea Culpa with Powerball since I commented long ago that it takes too long with the new matrix for the jackpots to climb. Clearly I was wrong.
