Mathematical Sequences
Quote: Originally posted by hypersoniq on May 20, 2004Bingo... any mathematical solution will need to act like a function...in a multi-draw game (6/49, 5/53 etc) it would need to incorporate gaps -OR- isolate numbers by position, requiring some tweaking to ensure they stay in the proper range... in a pick 3/ pick 4 type game, it would be 3 independent functions...I've been applying a form of number reduction to keep the numbers within pool parameters. So far, the results have always degenerate

New theories anyone?
Quote: Originally posted by Clipper on May 17, 2004There are several different way to reduce the 220 possibles down to 30 or less. First you have a thorough understanding of the 1000 combinations and the facts about what plays more often.... then you can reduce the pool of numbers down. Not only do you need to know the facts you need to believe in the facts . I dont use a mathematical formula in any of my tracking. The moment you think you are able to reduce the draws, you have failed 50%.I

Powerball Jackpot Jumps to $24 Million
Quote: Originally posted by DoctorEw220 on May 17, 2004it's not just TN. it's all of the states, even the USVI (even though it isn't a state). one state cannot carry a multi-state game.Sure it cant carry a multi-state game, but since it brings a new pool of customers that didnt have a chance to play a lottery before, and also neighboring states that dont have a lottery, I would say Tennessee is a big part of the new BIG rollovers. And I do agree that all other states are seeing an increase in

Self-Service Terminals
Quote: Originally posted by DoctorEw220 on May 14, 2004they don't do that anymore.I guess things have changed. I never used them anyway. It would be nice if they could come up with a self-service terminal that allows players to have a mixture of QuickPick numbers and their own numbers on the same line. There have been times when I needed to make these kinds of plays based on numbers generated by my selection system, but I was only able to have numbers of all one kind or the other. The 5/53 and 1/

Tips on Picking Numbers
White ball and Powerball numbers have a different frequency of rolling over. Statistics are posted on the Multi State Lottery Association websites. Pick the numbers which have the highest frequency. Similar to a slot machine, the higher frequency rollover number will have higher odds of matching. How long can you afford to stay in the game is the question? The key to staying in the game is like playing bingo. Bingo player prefer playing with multiple cards to increase their odds. Well, it can b

Birthdays Yield $100,000 Lottery Win After Ticket Rescued From Trash
Brooks purchased his winning ticket in late April at the Han-D-Food Market, located at 1629 Bradyville Road in Murfreesboro. He chose to purchase a multi-draw ticket, meaning that his one ticket with his one set of chosen numbers was good for multiple Powerball drawings. He purchased his multi-draw ticket for five draws, and won on his third. His ticket is still valid for the next two Powerball drawings.

The Worlds Best System!
Yes i know wynr. It's like, who would want to just give out a secret. I mean, it's ok to give other people hints and ideas, but who would want other people to win? Giving out hints and what not is nice enough. If you want to know, figure it out youtself. Capitalism my friend. If the less fortunate did not exist then the fortunate would not exist. If a majority of losers did not exist, then the ones who know the so-called secrets would be with the rest of the crowd. That's what games are about. T

Buying more tickets = reduced odds
I plan to increase my chances of winning something in the PowerBall drawing this weekend by purchasing several combinations. I know there are 120,526,770 possible combinations and 3,342,046 of them will pay $3 or more and I hope that some of my combinations are among them. I'll be looking at past history and hoping to pick only numbers that are most likely to be drawn to reduce my selections to about 20 lines which in well within my budget. My chances aren't as good as being in a pool of pla

Pa Match 6 Results & Comments
As for me, another ticket for match 6, another loser. Office pool pulled a $2 winner. Another contribution to the bonus Jackpot. Now that Lent's over, going back to scratch tickets. Twice the price (well not really) half the odds. (At least).Gus rocks. Right you are, Chas!Note, it's true what all of you are saying about Match 6. #33 came up again. Being that's one of the numbers that I pick, I can almost count on at least 1 ,or 2 matches if I'm really lucky. Which I haven't.But almost $

Buying Tickets??
I buy my tickets at the same place all the time. I head up an office pool which plays Mega Millions and Powerball. We live in a MM state (Maryland) so we buy those tickets 1 drawing at a time. The liquor store where I buy them has very good machine operators who get it right all the time. We usually buy 50 tickets or so, and if I buy them somewhere else sometimes I get 50 individual ticktes instead of 10 $5 tickets and that makes it harder to scan the tickets for distribution to the members.
