RJOh, You've hit on a key misunderstanding about the odds of winning. Lets start with something concrete; the odds of winning the Mega Million lotto is 1 in 175,711,536. The odds don't change if you pick a sequence of numbers (7,8,9,10,11; 12 for example), or pick random numbers (19, 25, 29, 33, 51; 18 for example). This is not my opinion, it is fact and reality. So does this look acceptable?: Notice that I marked 23 and then marked QP . I did the same for the Powerball and marked QP as well. Will the computer understand or will it be invalid? Maybe RJOH knows.

@Rjoh if that is so...and i am payinga voluntary tax to the state each year...then if i dont win the jackpot that year shouldn't i get a credit from the state or something like that? or maybe more succinctly...if i am paying a voluntary tax...shouldn't i be exempt from mandatory taxes?

I agree with Rjoh, we need that cushion for lower tier prizes. I used to wonder why people played pick 3 and pick 4 how much do you win compared to how much you spend. That is not life changing amount. I used a 2+1 or especially 3+0 as benchmark for my success on winning powerball and Megamillions. RJOh This happened cause I went high tech and I am using a password generator and manager, using highly secure passwords. The Lottery Post took it when I changed it, but would not let me log in with it, some kind of bug with the Lottery Post, maybe the password was too long or complicated, Who knows? Anyhow no matter, now I am on my 3rd encarnation, EXCALIBUR, LANTERN and Laterne.
