Idk, Spain got so used to theirs that it's now ingrained in the culture. They don't see anything wrong with jackpots worth over a billion dollars. At the Wawa where I buy tickets, there was no line and seemingly little interest this afternoon. The machine was just there, being mostly ignored as usual. It's not about greed. It's about trying to regain sales that were dropping because jackpots were being won too often. Personally, I'm in every draw regardless of the jackpot size because second prize would life changing for me.
