$116M Georgia Powerball winner claims prize
I would like to take issue with something you've said here, and it is an extension of a wide-spread canard told by liberals.
Conservatives do not get such totally skewed perceptions of reality due to the filters through which they consume their information. (That is your quote.)
Firstly, I never said conservatives have a skewed perception.... I said most people ... this would include conservatives , liberals , christians , republicans, democrats, etc, etc, etc, etc.
We'll agree to disag

Lottery bill could limit winner's take
It's heartening to hear of your recent sobriety.
That claim notwithstanding though, I still find it difficult to follow your line of reasoning. Half of the time it seems as if you're preaching to the choir and the other half of the time it seems as if you're preaching to the choir. If that sounds redundant it's because you appear to be preaching to two different choirs. You're all over the map attributing things to one group that belong to another and so forth. It's not even possible to be a

Statistically Speaking - QP's and PP's
The federal deficit grew by $164,000,000,000.00 last month. $164 BILLION. I was like: Are they system players? Or are they Quick Piggies? I think they are definitely Quick Piggies! Because they are porking everybody and our futures, so play away..............cause it don't matter no more.
Me loves your money. It's tasty and delicious.
Money is no object.

The company that has operated Vermont Lottery games for the past 10 years is suing the state, trying to force the release of documents related to Vermont's decision to switch to another company.
Scientific Games International Inc. alleges in a lawsuit that the state Lottery Commission, its executive director, Alan Yandow, and Attorney General William Sorrell have violated Vermont's public records law for about a year by refusing to provide the documents.

Arkansas Lottery will add raffle games to lineup
The Arkansas Lottery Commission voted yesterday to authorize the introduction of raffle games during the 2010-2011 fiscal year.
The lottery plans to hold two raffles during the fiscal year, the first of which will launch in July or August, Lottery Director Ernie Passailaigue said.
Passailaigue said the games will be similar to raffles held by civic clubs. The lottery will have a set number of tickets printed, each with a unique number, and the winning numbers will be selected in a drawing,

Ohio Lottery audit begins next week
State Auditor Mary Taylor officially begins her review of the Ohio Lottery Commission next week, two months after lottery officials tried to close the door on her by arguing that the attention is unwarranted.
Auditors and lottery officials are scheduled to sit together next Wednesday at kick-off meeting during which the approach and scope of the audit will be outlined.
The decision to conduct a performance audit of the $2.4 billion state agency is unusual because such audits are typically

Tenn. lottery scholarships outstrip revenue; day of reckoning looms
A day of reckoning is coming for students and parents over Tennessee's lottery scholarships that could result in tightened eligibility, reduced scholarship awards or both.
After more than five years of steadily expanded eligibility and grant amounts, the annual cost of the program is outstripping the net revenue produced by the lottery.
If no action is taken, that funding gap is now expected to overtake the lottery reserves some $385 million built up in the lottery's booming early years an

Five-time lottery winner accused of taking ticket from group
It will be up to the courts to decide if a Calgary-area man's amazing run of lotto luck will continue.
Seguro Ndabene of Airdrie, just north of Calgary, has already won the lottery four times in the past five years including two wins of $1 million, another of $100,000 and a fourth prize of $50,000.
But his biggest win of all $17 million in a Super 7 draw back in January is being disputed.
