Interest In Backtesting and Simulating Lottery Systems
It seems that you and RJOh are basically saying you don't believe there is anything to be gained from applying backtest or simulation techniques to proposed lottery selection systems. Since you've declared often that the stats published by the lotteries for each game only tell you what you already know, that they will pay back 50% of the gross over the long haul, you seem to have given up any hope of determining in advance what your chances of succeeding with a system are. Before giving up, I

What is a lottery system? What distinguishes a lottery system from guesses, dreams and quick picks?
Maybe you're right Rjoh. Maybe trying to hit the p-3 on a regular basis is close to trying to beat a JP just once...lol I can see the math in my head...Hee hee.. Don't lose that image; you've figured it out!

HOW TO PLAY & WIN THE PICK 3, 4 LOTTERY by robert walsh
hi Todd Thanks very much for your advise, I was honestly just about to purchase his book especially when I noticed that it was available on Amazon but I wanted a 2nd opinion and that is the reason for my post. I would also like to make it clear to the response from RJOH that I have been a member of Lottery Post since 2005 and that I am absolutely not endorsing this method and that I have no affiliation with him, I realize that I have not posted often over the years and just yesterday when

RJoh So the only way any of us will ever know if such a system can exist is to create one ourselves and then keep it to ourselves leaving our fellow LP members to debating the question in threads like this. LOL, yes. The search for a winning system might take To infinity ... and beyond!

Stack47 and RJOh have helped me narrow the problem with their perceptions here down to two possibilities. Either they are color blind, and can only see that RED bar in the middle of the roulette chart... or, the BLUE bars mean absolutely nothing to them.

RJOh I think that much of your code will run in QB64 which will be around for a long time. Those that want to do some basic programming should try it out. About anything needed for lottery can be done in basic. RL

Backtesting and Simulating Lottery Systems
Thank you for taking the time to explain that RJOh. I actually have spent quite a bit of time compiling data. In fact the computer only takes a few minutes at most analyzing the data but when I step into the process, well that is easily days of work. But then again, I'm a newbie and very inefficient. I just wanted to know what part of the process the seasoned professionals were taking so long at so I know what to look forward to in the future and make sure I don't waste too much time. Si

What is a lottery system? What distinguishes a lottery system from guesses, dreams and quick picks?
RJOH: Some combinations seem to hit so rarely on any lottery anywhere as to be worth avoiding. A surprising lot of them for pick 6 games. I've noticed a lot of people predicting keno games on the Prediction Board have an aptitude for picking match 0. I've wondered if maybe building combinations with the least likelihood of hitting might not be the method they're using. I've never found one that hasn't hit in a million draws but it's cumbersome to filter files of that size and the numbers of c
