Are you a programmer?
I have experience and have worked in various environments. I am multi-lingual. My knowledge is in C++, Java, VB, Pascal, Assembly Language, Prolog, and Lisp. Currenlty, I have specialized in integration of data.I have used many applications. My favorite are MS Apps--they are just simply user-friendly and superior to be frank. It would be nice to have hundreds of workers on a project, but face it, that's something only MS can accomplish. I have programmed and published one title, Lotto Engi

All a matter of luck
TC---where do you get this 70% figure from...cite a source that says 70% or you don't have a leg to stand on...your statement that it is common knowlege is not good enough for a debate thomas, you need to back up that claim with some verifiable statistics...i am citing facts from the florida lottery websiteaccording to the florida lottery website, there have been a total of 663 jackpots since 1990 (the year the QP was introduced), 301 winners were QPso if the vast majority of players in florid

Powerball's Match 5 Bonus
For those of you not familiar with the Match 5 bonus...Powerball caps the drawing from rolling over at $25 Million increments once it has exceed the previous record Powerball Jackpot (in this case roughly $315 Million). Once the $25 Million cap is reach the extra money from ticket sales is rolled into a Match 5 bonus . Which means those people who match 5 white balls and no PB share the Match 5 bonus pool. Most likely meaning that 5 white balls would produce multiple millionaires. The Match 5 bo

Can any system beat the lottery ?
No publicly known system in existence today has ever beat the lottery. The pool of winable money is only 40 to 60 % of the monies taken in. As soon as you buy your ticket you are at a distinct disadvantage BEFORE you take the odds into account. This disadvantage is called takeout . In order for any system to beat the lottery it would have to consistently give a return on your investment (ROI) of over 170 percent. (bet a dollar win 1.70 on average) I know of no such system for the lottery and

What about Syndicates?
OK everyone I've taken off my homepage URL so everyone can calm down a little and not get so angry. Maybe now we can continue a little more peacefully...I'm from London, England...not London, Iraq.Hi Clarence, you said in your text that you hate syndicates. Well actually what we call a syndicate here in the UK is the same thing as you call a lottery pool there in the US. There is not a difference. It definitely isn't what Todd has stated: ...a catch-phrase for an affiliate-style internet sche

Is a 500 million jackpot even possible?
50% of the ticket sales goes to the prize pool, and of that 50% goes to the jackpot. If there is a $5,000,000(cash) jump between last saturdays drawing and tomorrows drawing that means there will be about 20 million tickets sold. So that's 20 million out of a possible 120 million combo's.On the $315 million drawing last christmas there was over 200 million tickets sold.(cash jump of 50 million). This is just guessing, someone correct me if I am wrong.

OHIO Lotto $33 million Wed 4/30
I'm not aware of any changes being proposed yet, a survey was made with some suggested changes nothing more. I am surprise there was no winner, it the kind of odds and jackpot amount that the pool players look for. I'll get another chance to win. I will have to adjust the perameters of my picks. I matched 3 + bonus for $5. I didn't pick any numbers that had matched 4 before. The best that list of 300 numbers that I posted last week did was 5 match 3's and 1 match 3 +b for $5 and 5 free pi

New York Lotto $45M
Todd:I wouldn't bother coming to NY just to play it. When you consider that 3/6 wins ONE DOLLAR, and that 4/6 occasionally is under $20, and 5/6 sometimes is under $1000 (even with 2 plays/$1) as the prize pool is _only_ 38-40% of sales, it's a BAD bet, despite the cash option...and we all know NY still requires the choice when we PLAY instead of after we win.Although both are popular, IMO the Mass. and NY lotteries are the worst-run. Connecticut (AFAIK is somewhat privatized) is a better exampl

Take the Lump sum...not Annuity!
Clarence:The NY lottery director is appointed by the governor, AFAIK the state legistature has no say. NY's governor was just elected to a third term; the lottery director was hired in 1999. (I actually met her that summer at a press conference outside a deli that had a jackpot winner; I was delivering an independant NY lottery magazine that since folded.)A better prize structure (prize return) would have to be approved by the NY legislature. The terrible prize pool in NY Lotto is a relic of the
