Mega Millions getting boring
Mega Millions will be a year old in May (when Ohio and NY joined the Big Game group.)The long jackpot odds and expanded player pool fueled speculation (including on this website) that a $500 million jackpot was inevitable. However, there has yet to be a $200 million MM jackpot (despite a $330+ million Big Game prize the month before MM began.)I propose a new version of Mega Millions to take effect immediately after Labor Day: **5/55 + 1/49 (longer jackpot odds, but overall chance of winning be

Challenge to Fellow LotteryPost Friends!!
To cotti47Mr Whittaker(if I spelled it right) was the gentleman from West Virgina who owned several construction companies who won the MM lottery right after Christmas and took the cash which was over $100M. He stated he had bought $100 worth of QP tickets and with his winnings he planned to give 10% to his church and use some of his winnings to call some his laid-off workers back to work. He was not the first businessman who won that bought a lot of tickets. My point was that not everyone pla

How much do you spend on lotteries?
I think the important thing about how many tickets to buy mostly depends on your budget. Is there room in your budget for $24? If not, I suggest this to others ( my lotto pool people): is there a way to come up with the money by using food coupons to save on groceries or spending less or no money on junk food each week or eating out in order to free up dollars? For example, do you spend $3 or more each week on unnecessary items? There might be other areas of your budget where you might be abl

Gail Howard's Software
That is the problem with wheels. You have to pick the RIGHT numbers to wheel first, and then the wheel cna only guarantee a certain prize level hit if you match so many numbes out of your pool. This is where WINHunter comes in. WINHunter is an attempt to eliminate as many numbers as possible from each draw using designable filter structures. NO other lottery software allows you the flexability that WINHunter does with Filters. Also, WINHunter can show you how well your filter design performed o

2nd WINFALL payouts are smaller
One more thing. There could be more than 5 WINFALL dvents in a row. From the Michigan Lottery's Website: The amount going into the jackpot from the current drawing will remain the same percentage as always 32 percent of the sales. The Lottery will only use the amount of carry-forward jackpot money from the Michigan Millions game needed to fund a $5 million annuitized jackpot. Once the Michigan Millions money carry-forward jackpot money is exhausted the WINFALL jackpots will begin at $2 million

72 win $100,000
No I don't think they would of sold that many tickets. Not 120,000,000. Listen to my proposal. The Jackpot increased $65,000,000....the amount that was put into the prize pool would be about half of that which is about 33,000,000. They had about 24 million in prizes. So 33 + 24 million is 55. The lotteries take 50% so double that amount and you get about 110,000,000....well i guess your number was pretty close. But aren't there 120,000,000 combos in this game. So they probably sold almos

Improved Odds To Win
How many here are familiar with syndicate lottery play and the benefits? I have been playing with a lottery team now for a couple months and find a few interesting things developing. In a lotto draw combination of 6 balls, 1 though 49, having the ability being guarantted a sixth number can make a huge difference in the odds to win.I think it is something like instead of 1 in 14 million, your odds improve to something like 1 in 1 million - 14x times better odds of winning two times weekly...Wh

$2 million rollover in NY Lotto
In the early days of modern US lotteries (1964-75), it probably was typical for states to pay winners just 40% of the prize pool. These days, players often win back 55% or more overall. The dinosaur called NY Lotto (currently a 6/59 game) has the WORST prize return of any US lottery game, 40%. The large population of NY state and neighboring areas is why NY Lotto continues to pay winners so poorly. The game is beginning to crack though; the jackpot went up only $2 million with the latest rollove

GEORGIA front and back pairs
Lottoscorp: Actually, the NY Lottery has become one of the WORST lotteries in terms of player respect (this from a lifelong NY state resident). Why? 1) NY Lotto 6/59 prize pool is only 38%-40% of sales, which explains why a 3-of-6 match wins just $1. 2) Lotto 6/59 and NY Mega Millions players still must make the cash/annuity choice WHEN they play (despite the 1998 IRS ruling). 3) All scratch game prizes above $500,000 paid through an annuity, with NO cash option. 4) One NY scratch game features
