The Michigan Weekly-5/14 thru 5/20
A respected batter once stopped by Ichiro Suzuki's locker with some pregame advice. The player noted that if Ichiro simply learned to be more patient and not chase so many bad pitches, he would have a legitimate shot at hitting .400. Ichiro listened to his teammate's reasoning, thanked him for his thoughts then continued with the same approach he has used since his days in Japan: swing at anything he considers hittable. I've heard that (advice) in Japan, and I've heard it here, too, Ichiro

mega millions and powerball jackpot poll
I gotta believe that they will settle for a 5 of 56 and a 1 of 56, they are so intent on making this the biggest thing since sliced bread. And in their greed to divide the $$$ that drive this beast! The paltry $10 mil. it starts at now for the mega is a joke, it should already be a min. of $15 mil....but hey..there are alot of states to divide this big pot up with and they all want their fair share. With Calif. joining it should be a min. of $20 - 25 mil. If you took all the states that basicall

Opinion: CA legislators should keep public in the loop about lottery
EditorialOakland TribuneSo, what do we do about the California Lottery? For the past four or so years, the lottery has been static, bringing in about $2 billion a year. The state Lottery Commission believes that joining Mega Millions, which generated a record jackpot of $363 million in 2002, will provide an economic boost for the state by luring more people into playing the lottery, generating more revenue, 34 percent of which goes to state schools. But state Sen. Lottery software development ideas
I wouldn't drive anywhere outside NM to buy lottery tickets. Yep, that's what I'm saying.I'm also saying if he takes those numbers and makes a winning set out of them, I'll tip my hat to him. I'm willing to give him a chance to try it. Plenty of time to scoff if he doesn't succeed.Meanwhile, let's cut him some slack and let him perform his magic.
