Lottery Ethics
The link below is the drawing procedure for the SC lottery. It gives a very detailed explanation of every thing they do. Every state has similar security procedures. But they may vary on how many people are involved in the process and how many rehearsals they do. So my question continues to be, with security this tight, why the need for pre tests? How could anyone tamper with anything?

I saw 2 mistakes in my forecast.
Mistake #1: I meant to say, I'm excluding digits 2 and 3
Prediction: Digits 1, 6 and/or 8 will pair with digits 0, 4, 5, 7 and/or 9 within the next 6 drawings. I'm excluding digits 0 and 3 even though I know they are going to hit and likely pair.
Mistake #2: I meant to say, Forecast #13
This is drawing #1 of a multi-state forecast so if the North Carolina day drawing doesn't win then play the same combos for the next state which is the

I went back and looked at WRAL's channel 5 video of the drawing several times and you are right that on the second pick 3 drawing the first two balls, the 8 and the 0, were already selected by the time the camera moved over to the second machine to show it. But you could see the third ball, the 1, actually in the act of being drawn up into the chute. I guess what happened is that the camera just panned over to the right a little late or a little behind the action of the machines. It would be nic

MegaMillions is ready to be won again
I understand what you mean, but I think the way you said it was inaccurate. Simply saying each additional rollover becomes less and less likely would be accurate, assuming sales increase. I think that adding cumulatively implies that the number of previous drawings is (and remains) a factor, and that leading with the reference to the 90th percentile makes it more inaccurate or misleading. Previous drawings without a winner have an effect due to increasing ticket sales, but it's strictly the sale

$636 Million Mega Millions jackpot split by 2 tickets
It was pretty close in terms of sales depending on how you looked at it.
How do you look at it to make $1 billion over 22 drawings and $1.5 billion over 19 drawings pretty close ?
Every single drawing had bigger sales during the record run, with average sales of about $78 million per drawing. For the current run the average is a bit shy of $45.5 million.
For the modest jackpots in the first several drawings the record run only saw sales that were about 8 to 25% higher. Once the jackp

Can math and logic improve chances of winning a jackpot?
What Jammy fails to realize is that things can be BOTH ways, random AND non-random at the same time.
With the exception of the very first pick-3 drawing, there is a 65.7% chance at least one of the digits from the previous drawing will repeat. There is 72% chance all three digits will be different too. The reason it is a random drawing is because only one three digit number will be drawn, but that doesn't change the fact that number will either be 1 of 720 numbers or 1 of 280 numbers. Does
