What happens to the reserve after the year ends?
I recall a few years ago there were multiple hits within a few month period. Then we saw a long streak of $250m+ jackpots from Spring to Summer

Not Happy With My QPs For Today's Treasure Hunt Jackpot
It's easy to be Unhappy with Your QPs because the results are predictable and you need something to blame. You knew eventually the jackpot would roll to a $150K+ so you should have been prepared to pick numbers you would be happy with even if they didn't win much.
I've played games I seldom play when their jackpot are unusually high and although I've never won their jackpots I would always satisfied I gave it my best try. If buying $100 of QPs was your best effort, be satisfied with results n

Anyone ever hear of the "Simpson Effect"?
I raised it since I was discussing casino keno in another forum. Based on the pure mathematics, me and the person who taught me to play are beating incredible odds (over 9 million to 1) to win the progressive jackpots that we have. So I was trying to look beyond the pure math...and see if there was any explanation.
I know ...I know...you can't believe much about what you hear in a casino....

Say goodbye to PB & MM soon!
Before PB was in Ohio some of Indiana's largest PB jackpot winners were Ohioans. While the same can't be said about Big Game jackpot winners in Michigan, Ohio figured keeping 65% of the money Ohioans spent on those games in state was better than letting other states keep it. That's not going to change regardless of their jackpots size. As long as these games are offered in neighboring states, they will be available in Ohio.

Absolute proof that it's way too easy to win for winners...
I think that their odds would only seem better if their spending habits were equal to those who have never won. But the reality is that they can afford to spend more (or more often) and they do, even if they don't want to admit it. Why do you think rich people get richer? Because they take more risks, with more money. A great lottery example is that woman from Texas who hits big jackpots every few years. To the casual observer she seems luckier than the average person, but then again, the averag

Say goodbye to PB & MM soon!
Did a little more prying and turns out the directors are concerned of a MMC repeat, i.e. game will be too confusing for players. It is still slated to start sales July 12th but I have a feeling they may be revamping the second chance / Power Plus aspect of the game. They also admitted it won't help jackpot fatigue, which is interesting since the majority of lottery conference forums have included a focus discussion on resolving this problem. There is even talk now of some states dropping Powerba

When you purchase your MM/PB tickets are you not...
Am I correct in my view that the jackpot spends more time as it is increasing in the lower jackpot amounts during rollovers ? Once it reaches $300,000,000.00 it usually is won quickly.
Well, sure. As the jackpot grows, jackpot fever grows. As jackpot fever grows, more people play, and more combinations (lines) are bought. This increases the odds that someone out there will have bought the winning numbers. This is also why the really big jackpots end up being split among multiple winners.

British couple win £1m in lottery draw for second time in two years
You see!!!
This is absolute proof that it's WAY TOO EASY for winners! These people could take a trip to America and win 10 consecutive Powerball jackpots with the greatest of ease, even if they bought their tickets in North Dakota.

3 Years Later and over $60 Thousand Down...
I find it hard to understand your thinking. The wheel is an absolute get three right twice and you win a jackpot can not be disputed. Getting 3's is the problem not the wheel itself.
If winning jackpots that way was absolute someone smarter than me would be winning them regularly. My thinking is based on computer simulations I've ran. I'm not a programmer but I'm fairly sure losing isn't a problem that can be fixed by one.
