Changes in Mega Millions
I didn't vote because I don't think the game will be changed any time soon, if ever. The states in MM are making money. They certainly want more profits, but they are smart enough to know that changing the game matrix often in attempt to build jackpots to a certain level is risky. I read the Texas lottery commission meeting minutes and they believe, and I agree, that players are more apt to spend their money on scratch tickets than take a chance on a lottery game they aren't likely to wi

Mega Millions hit again!
Being smart has nothing to do with it. Powerball had added a much larger population base to it's players yet didn't change the odds. They had a long string of low jackpots then corrected the problem by changing the odds. Megamillions added the largest state and miscalculated the needed odds. It also doesn't help that several of the Mega states continue to grow in population. I don't think they will fix it soon however due to the way Mega handles it's business. I'd say maybe they will do some

Lottery DNA...
Wow! By taking 3 3 digit numbers that didn't even win a box pick you were able to pick 3 of the digits and then by changing the order of the digits you were able to make the number that was drawn. How many other numbers did they list, and how many 3 digit combinations can we make out of them? One thing I've noticed is that if I play 7 21 27 31 42 and 47 and the winning numbers are 6 14 23 31 41 and 50 it looks like I came really close to having several of the numbers, but if I have the cle

Florida Fantasy 5's New EZMATCH
Hi, Pac. Yup, that's exactly the way I felt the first time I bought a Grouper. I know I got a free ticket but not only do they choose the numbers, they choose which game is the free one. One time the clerk only gave me 5 tickets and I finally got the 6th ticket after making a stink about it. (as if I wouldn't notice?) At first the Fantasy 5 new option looked interesting to me, but now that you Duckman mention it, maybe it's not a good deal after all. I knew it was an instant win on the EZ

Is the Lottery (PB/MM) corrupt?
The manager of the Texas lottery over Drawings, said Gtech has control of all terminals switches. Yes the comment by CSFB about after the game is drawn can a terminal produce the winning numbers yes Gtech can. There is not one central button that shuts off each terminal. Its kinda like your lights, or water. They can shut off your lights if you don't pay the bill from their terminal. This does not shut off everyone elses lights. Every person that went to the polls and voted for a State lo

Friends claim $1 million Powerball lottery prize
A quick get-away to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, proved to be a life-changing experience for two Midstate friends, who accepted $1 million Monday after learning of their Powerball win from Saturday night's drawing.By using the Power Play option, their second-tier prize was multiplied from $200,000 to $1 million since the multiplier was five. Of Tennessee Powerball winners, the friends rank second only to the Hubbard family of South Pittsburg, who won a $25.5 million jackpot in March.Janis Goodwin of N

Connecticut Gov. considers dumping Powerball
Connecticut Governor M. Jodi Rell thinks Powerball, the multi-state lottery game that offers huge potential payoffs, is about to become a lousy bet.The agency that runs the game announced the odds of winning will be a lot higher starting next month, and winners who opt for multi-year payouts will wait longer for the big money.Rell asked state officials to review the new lottery rules and decide if it is still a good deal for Connecticut lottery players. If we don't approve of the rules, in essen
