Haven't fired up my old XP in years but it has the Lottery Director program with a free wheel generator. It creates full wheels and from there it has several filtering options. Used Covermaster many times too to create wheels that need less than matching all five or six numbers to get a win guarantee. LP has several pick-5 wheels with 2 if 2, 3 if 3, and 3 if 4 guarantees. There are 4 if 4 wheels too but an 8 number wheel creates 20 lines so adding more numbers can get very expensive using that

Using Gaps as a Filter
I've revisited gaps and have fired up a spreadsheet I created last year. 2 gaps have been well past there average frequency in the first 2 positions for some time now. Over the last 706 draws the average for a 2 gap between the 1st and 2nd number and 2nd and 3rd number is 10.09 and 7.93 draws. They haven't hit in 27 and 25 draws. Hey Virginia Lotto peeps! I was looking around for something cool to give y'all for Christmas when mswiz777 sent me an idea for a workup that I hadn't thought of before. The idea is to group all the results by date. So, all the numbers that ever fell on the 1st no matter what month all go in a list. All the numbers that ever fell on the 2nd go in a list. The 3rd... and so on through the 31st (short list because there are only seven months with 31 days). So, I fired up the computer and got busy.
