Idea for PA
Quote: Originally posted by LckyLary on January 26, 2005PA should get rid of MATCH 6 because 2/3 of it is forced quick pick and the jackpots are pathetic. LuckyForLife is ok just increase it to 1000/week and as weekly checks, not yearly. Or how about 1000/week tax-free because otherwise it's really around 600 - not enough to retire on.ONE REALLY ANNOYING THING on PA slips, you can't void off a botched play, you have to redo the whole thing! It's great when you can play 1 and then save the slip

Loyal Staff Stays on the Job after Lottery Jackpot Win
A million dollars is not enough to retire on pretax or posttax. It would come closer if you owned your own house and already had money saved up for retirement ( and were close to retirement). For those of us whom don't own a house and are a very long ways from retirement its not even close to the amount needed to quit.

Sandy K,When he gets enshrined in Canton next year (I believe that's his first eligible year) it will be pretty emotional. It's too bad that he didn't live long enough to participate in it. Also, I think the Packers were waiting to retire #92 along with #4 when Brett retires. That will be another emotional dvent. ANd Sheboygan is a nice place. Been there many times. Not big, but really cozy .

Oregon man claims record jackpot after finishing hunting trip
OR has an online game (somewhat like the new PA game everybody hates) with a lifetime top prize. However often the prize is paid (52k year? 13k every quarter?) the checks, after state and federal withholdings, probably aren't enough to retire on.

'Lose for Life' prizes
Quote: Originally posted by CASH Only on October 12, 2004Some believe $3000 a month is not enough to retire on.It isn't. At least it won't be soon. The cost of living keeps going up, up, up. And a mere $36,000 a year won't cut it. Now if a game brought me into the upper class for the rest of my life, I'd gladly take it.
