l attempted to follow the example of the recent Jackpot winner from NY by purchasing 10 tickets for last night's draw..have not checked them yet . One thing is for certain- l did not win the grand prize. As for telling people to play - we have huge flashing billboards on the side of Highways/ Freeways/ Innerstates out here advertising the Jackpots.Enough said. .

l think that one has to be realistic when it comes to winning the jackpot, any jackpot. It's like someone once said you have to be in it, to win it . Think....just went to MA lottery site. It said it is a para-mutuel games for payouts on large jackpots (ugh). So you can take cash option of $5.75 million for ONE winner; secondary prize is $390,000 ONE winner. All pre-tax of course.

I recently came across an interesting report on the decline in Powerball (and Mega Millions) sales due to lackluster jackpots. This is pretty much what has been driving the push to change the Powerball matrix since early last year. Even with the matrix change in MM, its sales still suffer from jackpot fatigue. I started playing the lotto in 1996 when I turned 21 and I have not been too lucky in it either. The most I won was $350 on scratch-its not off of powerball, megabucks or mega millions. My biggest gambling winnings came from two casinos that are local spirit mountain casino and chinook winds casino which are tribal casinos. I won over $5000 in each casino and smaller payout jackpots over the last 18 years. I am half white and half hispanic or mixed so lotto has not been good to me like the casin

LOL You are funny. i understand that. Yep Who wants the publicity of holding that big a**ed fat lottery check. All that money is gonna bring all kinds of trouble if people know what you got. Especially if you know too many people know you. Get outta dodge ! But that's not what the article was about. Years ago when the big jackpot lotteries were just starting out, there were hardly any black winners of the huge jackpots. That left a lot of frustrated players back then and it begged the question.

I now declare that it is not too easy to win anymore. The amount of times jackpots have rolled proves this. Now if MM can't climb above 15m again or PB keeps getting hit at $40 it will be too easy.
