In Jan 2012 the PB matrix was changed and tics went to $2. If you look it up there were winners almost every other draw. I remember reading posts about how terrible it was because the jackpots kept getting reset, PB was losing money, yada, yada, yada. I wasn't one of them. I didn't care because I would be quite happy with winning a starting jackpot.

Didn't want to make the Subject line too long, but does anyone know how many back to back starting point jackpots have been hit, i.e., no rollover between hits. State jp games included also.

My opinion of NY Lottery is low and getting lower by the day. They removed the winners atlas They don't update the winners section They don't give press releases on all their winners The top prize report is not accurate the 1 million a year for life jackpot tickets seem to be time released and they refuse to respond to my FOIL requests about how many tickets they have sold thus far they appear to have rushed out the 1,500 a week for life jackpots because of the poor game instr

Yea I was noticing that too. C4L is not paying out, Jackpot wise. So now we are on 'Death Watch' - if we do not see some jackpots soon and often over the next couple of months will we count the game as 'dead game walking' I still think they have gone WAY too far with the odds. I think (and hope) we see a new/replacement game which has better odds.

Hi jjtheprince, Glad to hear you will be cutting back. It will make you feel better to spend less. I am assuming your statement about California is in reference. To that state winning lot's of Power all jackpots. I agree about it being frustrating but the bigger states like California have a greater percentage of people who play so it's not surprising that state would have more wins. Wish I lived there because of the nice weather they have.

Well, En ReVal, it is because California has more adults than any other state. Plus, more of California state's population and visitors buy the online lottery tickets. Today's realization that California ticket vendors have already sold 3 MegaMillions jackpot winning tickets and 4 Powerball jackpot winning tickets (each game only has approximately 13 jackpots won per year), has caused a lot of 'single-row, every drawing players' to switch to playing less or ceasing ... since odds of winning

Your denominator is not what you should be using. Furthermore, CA only provides 11% at late stages (highest jackpots). In the early build up they only provide 7% of sales. Most of the run is usually 10%

I am another person who is annoyed that California is winning so many (too many??) of the Powerball jackpots. My husband says it is because they are buying so many of the tickets compared to other states, but I don't agree with him. Maybe I should try to find someone in California to buy and then mail tickets to me.

PB and MM are rigged for Cali and NY. I've posted this several times and people have mocked me, but lo and behold look what happens here. It's a shame you guys still spend money on PB and MM when only two states are programmed to win jackpots. But I guess every industry needs its rubes.
