Struggling couple wins $10M lottery jackpot
Australian couple played the same numbers for 36 years
The overjoyed $10 million (US$10.5 million) winners of Thursday night's Australian Powerball game don't want to be named, but said they had been struggling to make ends meet on one income for years.
It will be life-changing, they said.
They plan to use some of the money to secure their financial future and some to help out their family and friends.
The couple played the same numbers for 36 years across a variety of lotto games.

Ode To A Whiner
His pool went dry and made him sad
Now he's just an angry lad
He walks in droppings from the gooses
He slips and slides and curses mooses
He whiles his time scooping poo
Left by Mr Caribou
The bears drops by to leave their scat
On his front door welcome mat
So he comes here to whine and cry
About his stupid pool gone dry
So let him whine and curse his luck
Cuz no one really gives a... darn.

how to calculate the odds of this
mylot
It depends on what odds your looking for. NY take-5 is a 5-39 game so 29.6% of the numbers equal 11.5.
This would mean you are playing a different game because you can't have 11.5 numbers so for this I will
use 11. There are 462 sets of 5 in 11 numbers and 575757 sets of 5 in 39 so 575757/462=1246.2 so your
odds would be 1 in 1246 if you play all 462 combos. If you are using conditional odds where you think all
5 numbers will come from the pool of 11 then the odds would be 1

Should lottery winners share with colleagues?
Would I share my winnings? depends on many different variables.
first let me start by saying; we don't let just anyone in our pool to begin with.
a history of not paying on time, or not having your numbers ready will get you kicked out
we have had many people come and go in our pool, and we get asked on a regular basis
by an outsider if they can join our team. in most cases the answer is NO!... the main group has stayed together
for 10 years. We don't have have a written contract.

Statistically Speaking - QP's and PP's
Curiousity got the best of me again, so I checked the results for Tx Lotto going back to the last matrix change on 4-26-06. There are 2 draws a week. There have been 29 jackpot winners, 19 QP's, 10 SP's.
Then I checked Tx 2 Step which is drawn 2 times a week. I only went back to the beginning of this year for time's sake. There have been 17 jackpot winners. 13 QP's, 4 SP's.
Then I checked Cash 5 which is a daily game. Going back the beginning of this year, there have been 101 jackpot winne

$50M Lotto Max jackpot finally won
The MM and PB controllers said when cross selling of the games was authorized that a third Jackpot game is in the making. They didn't give any details about the new game. Just a few hints that it would be different.
Given the games offered now, one has to wonder what would a third game entail.
IMHO, I don't think any game requiring players to pick 5 from 65, 5 from 70 or any variation would sell.
I can't imagine playing such a game. I don't think there would be a big demand. Sixty seems

The Magic Box! Is back!
PERhaps your right and then who are we hurting by trying?
A great part of winning is the hunt . Sometimes the effort is lost by
those who don't understand. I have a child who drank 5 gallons of
pool water at her first swim meet . Her time was so slow, they stopped
timing her and asked her out the pool. Her coach told her you are
really good in the back stroke . Perhaps we will try a different method
to win. THE next meet, she finished the race alone on the wall again.
To her

Everyone loves to play the powerball especially when they see the pot grow to multi-millions,however there are hidden factors that most people fail to realize and these factors point to the Powerball as being nothing less than a scam..
Reason 1.) The odds are 1 in 195,249,054
