$111 million EuroMillions jackpot won in Ireland
For the EuroMillions we wait until the person has time to come forward, given the size of the jackpots and the amount of money that they win, and give them time to come to terms with that, a spokesperson said.
I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO COME 2 TERMS WITH THAT!!!!

Minnesota couple claim $11.7M Hot Lotto jackpot
Is it just me seeing it this way or are more winners lately claiming their jackpots within a week of winning? There was time when we'd even have forgot about a JP by the time it got claimed.
Congratulation Mr and Mrs Meath

Scratcher search
Does anyone have info on scratcher distribution to retailers. Game 1048 lucky for life $20.00, began in jan 2010 and is currently the oldest scratcher out there. The Florida lottery alleges that there are five jackpots still in play. The problem is that it's hard to find. It is my understanding that, The chain retailers have either an internal plan for puchase or the lottery autoships. The Individual retailers must specifically request. I have asked over 150 retailers in the greater Orlando area

Poll: New National Game October 19th - Will You Play?
$25 million annuity is not at all tempting for $5. If it was a LotoMax clone I would play for $50 million cash jackpots.
It is good to have choices but it looks to me as if the lottery is using that logic to divide and conquer. There is going to come a time when there are so many games that nobody will win anything much on any of them. That is probably the goal for all the lotteries.

Should we boycott Mega Millions?
On a side note, it would be interesting if MegaMillions (and Powerball for that matter) released stats of how many combinations each state played. Especially in those cases where we have big jackpots with multiple winners like when Kansas, Illinois and Maryland all won.
Dawn Nettles has that kind of information on her Lotto Report website. Usually it's the states that sell more tickets that win most but once in a while a jackpot winner is from one of the states that don't sell many tickets wh

Powerball changes??
Just read the minutes of TLC's last meeting and Gary Grief mentioned he would be (did by now) attending a MUSL conference in which they were discussing changes to Powerball. They are unhappy with the inability of the game to roll to big jackpots.
Here we go again. Can you say matrix change ?

Texas Two Step
RCB is right about the taxes/withholding. From the official site's Texas Two Step page:
Rolling jackpots start at $200,000 and are paid in one lump-sum payment!
