I have to agree with your assessment. at the end of the draw they always say what the next jackpot will be and it was only going to be 490 million. at 22 draws, that is pathetic! To reach it's full potential (600+) i think it would take at least another 3 draws... people have become jackpot fatigued... It's a fact that there are professional gamblers. What do they know that the 97% don't? What does Peter St. Pierre know that we don't? For starters they know enough not to believe they will win PB and MM jackpots back to back. And I really doubt many professional gamblers make their living exclusively playing lottery games.

What are the odds against the same five numbers and the same bonus number drawn back to back? I never got an answer from Poo Nanny, but never clarified that when I explained why the calculations are different. I believe the odds of having jackpot winning tickets in the next two drawings is different than the odds against consecutive jackpots in any two drawings in the infinite future.

I like the excitement of the big jackpots and I love dreaming of winning that big sum! I want to play for a big jackpot too, dang it!!! lol And, my lucky jackpot amount is a little on the high side so I definitely want it to run so maybe it can hit that number and I can finally WIN!!! lol

Yes, this has been a dull summer with respect to lottery jackpots. Even our Scratchers aren't generating much excitement. Although our Powerball 5/5 prize tonight is over $7 million, it's been rolling over for quite some time. I'm in it tonight for PB until someone wins the 5/5 prize.
