Developing a winning MegaMillions System
My current strategy:
Hit 1-3 times last 7 draws
or
Skip skip limit and last skip = 10
where
Skip = number of weeks since last drawn
Last Skip = number of weeks between last drawn and previously drawn before that.
Skip Limit = average skip + 0.8 * standard deviation
Back tested over last 56 draws of 5/45 Australian Powerball
average hit = 3.27
average pool size = 29.15 (min 24 max 36)
3 or better = 76.8 %
all 5 = 12.5 % (pool sizes were 32,27,35,35,31,30,26)

MmeFlorida hits PA's treasure hunt 3times!!
How can you win it? Remember that in Pick5 at least the ones from 1-35 at least once a month, all even numbers or all odd numbers play...Even if all odd numbers or all even numbers play once every 60 days that's fine...That reduces the numbers to half, from 30 to 15...
Now i was looking at a lottery wheels site and i notice that they have a wheel titled:
Y5-3T516 that runs 81 sets meaning you will have to play 81 tickets...This wheel is size 16 and it gives you 10 tickets having 3 out of 5

Developing a winning MegaMillions System
MADDOG,
As you've noted I have participated in your PB and MM challenges but I've never cracked the 3+1 ceiling that seems to exist for most participants. I know a few have done better but fja have shown many times by combining the posts of two participants, a 5+1 is possible with a pool of 18-24 core numbers and 6-8 bonus numbers which makes me think a pool of 25 core numbers and 10 bonus numbers is more doable.
If my calculations are correct the odds of matching 5 of 56 core numbers in a

I can get closer to a win doing just all ODD/Evens
Thanks CarBob ....you give me too much credit really. I really do think that its better to go after the best odds and know on those particular days anyway .......you were really really close. At least compared to all the ones that didn't have a snowballs that day.
Yeap... 95% better odds is hard to beat. That's my best shot at a working filter system anyway ...... as an outsider.
At least until I can study and know some other things about the pick 5 game.....and i may never get around

One method?
I use Gail Howards Smart Luck system. its the system I learned on and its the system I personally am going to stick with.
are there systems that are better?...maybe. but I'm not sure that any other system could work as well for me.
That nobody on this site has a better win/loss ratio exclusive to powerball (with real money) than my pool.
I have kept stats on how my pool has done in the powerball over the last 6 months (prize ratio) and If I told you the statistics over 6 months

You know you're a LP lotto player when:
Another parody of the Jeff Foxworthy You Might Be a Redneck routine but let's have some fun - the title means not only a lottery player but a member of LP lottery player.
You know you're a LP lotto player when:
You've played your grocery bill, power bill, or any one as a Pick 3 or Pick 4.
You've played the amount of gallons you pumped to the tenths or hundredth.
You look for the lowest priced gas and frive around to save 5 cents a gallon 0 and then spend $10 on lotto!
You contantl

Correlation btwn Lotto Players and Gambling in General
Tha'ts what i am saying...People go there because of the enticement of the jackpot cash not because the enticement of the game...
People go there because of the idea of winning 10,000 or whatever, but not because they love those games....
Also if you knew psychology you will know that not everybody is the same, not everybody likes the same game, there are different people....If you knew psychology you will know that in a country population there is going to be a percentage of people that l

Teaching you to get all winning numbers in two groups of 10
Hans, You didn't do a well with Michigan Fantasy5.
Numbers in the pool:04 05 10 14 15 17 24 25 27 29 30 34 35

For Michigan Fantasy5 winning numbers 05/18/2008 - 13 25 17 30 33
You only had 3 of the winning numbers in your pool of 13
MATCH 0 = 44
MATCH 1 = 109
MATCH 2 = 72 $72
MATCH 3 = 9 $90
MATCH 4 = 0
MATCH 5 = 0
Total winnings = $162
Invested $234 = loss of $72

$1 Quick Pick nets lottery riches
Windfall will include numerous taxes before state cuts final check
Kenneth Parsons, 59, of Live Oak, Florida, last week turned in the winning Mega Money ticket at the Florida Lottery's Tallahassee headquarters.
Parsons opted to forego monthly payments from the $800,000 annuity jackpot and instead opted to take a lump sum payment of $549,646.
Before Parsons can enjoy his riches, however, the Internal Revenue Service requires the Florida Lottery withhold 25 percent from each prize greater

David kills Goliath in Michigan will keep promise to friends!
Unless its done in cash, any legit bank would report 1,000 deposits of $9,999 to the IRS. Its called structuring and its illegal tax evision. To avoid taxes legally and in full, if hes married they as a couple can give an individual up to $24,000 a year tax free on both ends, and if that person is married it could total $48,000 a year. It would take at least 20 years to pay back tax free though, and the guy could go broke in that time.
Im not a big fan of the gift tax. Its a form of double t
