Louisiana man claims $250,000 Lotto jackpot
I live in Louisiana too and I seldom play the Lotto. The prizes increase only $25k-$50k every time the jackpot rolls. We do need Lotto South. I like how those prizes get in the millions and u can choose ANNUITY if u win. I don't know why people don't check tickets. I always check mine. Of course I'd love to have that $500k winning ticket. I wonder if Louisiana can afford to start the Lotto jackpot at $3 or $4 million. That's sure to get sales up. i'd buy it then.

The store will get a $100,000 bonus for selling the

TN crazy about Jumbo Bucks
Jumbo Bucks always had lots of prizes. This is the most I've seen by far. I don't really like Jumbo Bucks because the odds for this $2 ticket stink! However, that 31 $50,000 prizes gets my attention. Looks like I'll be playin Bank Roll and Jumbo Bucks this week. I also found a retailer that sells win for life so If I can win a few free tickets on them I'll play a Win for Life. There are 2 top prizes left and I know how you guys feel about the annuity prizes but I think I would like $1000 a

Mass. lottery winners cash in on new prize law
Quote: Originally posted by qutgnt on April 11, 2005 So basically its only worth it for the lottery if they can manipulate and lie. They dont steal enough by having payback %'s of 50%? It is disgusting. So in Mass between no lump sum, having to pay taxes , and having to pay an outside company to sell your annuity, your packback % is like 25%. I would rather give money to a charity. Why anyone plays the lottery (myself included) is beyond me.Cash WinFall and Numbers pays 60%. Mass Cash pays about

cash vs. annuity
I agree. Take tonight, $30 million cash after taxes. If you took $20 million of that and got just a 3% return on it, you'd make $50,000 a month, or $608,000 compounded in 1 year. When your money is making so much money, that's when you are on easy street. That's how the rich get richer. Whether the annuity could make more in the long run is a moot point when you've got all you need and more. Why wait 26 long years for payments when you can have the power of $20-30 million working for you righ

MA Ca$h WinFall pays back 60%
dude. seriously, if you don't like the payback percentage of a game, don't play it. it's plain and simple. free market economics makes it so you are not forced to play the game. remember that there are people who like playing NY Lotto, and people, like me, who wouldn't mind taking annal payments if we win the jackpot. we respect your opinion, so you should respect ours, because you know what? i'm going to play NY Lotto sometime. i'm going to take the annuity option. i'm going to play PA's lucky

Remember When?
Remember when all lottery games were restricted to one state only? Yeah, In Florida it's still that way.Remember when a $1 million jackpot meant something? I'm not that oldRemember when a $10 million jackpot would spur record sales? I'm really not that oldRemember when a $100 million jackpot would result in huge lines at convenience stores? Oh yeah.Remember when a Lotto game was something along the lines of 6/36 (or even less), and not 6/52 (or even more)? No.Remember when scratch-offs only cost
