Some ideas to help you pick numbers for Megamillions and Powerball
The data is as of May 14 2019. It rarely happens that the numbers (I am talking about the first 5 not the megaball or powerball itself) are all numbers from one category. For example, last drawing of the Powerball, one number was from the picked once caegory, one from the picked more than once and 3 from the never picked. Stack47 Thanks for the comment. If you remember back when Jimbo and I butted heads so often it was very similar in nature. It's very easy to fall victim to fallacious thinking when it comes to the lottery. I mentioned to Jimbo many times, that, before the very first drawing I knew the stats for every digit, number, filter-value etc. Looking back I am not sure he understood the comment or ignored them for whatever reason. dr san In the top image we can see that 37-38-39 ruled the day for the drawings shown and it looks very tempting but what would be the first number group. Lets say that we would have played 01-02-03 for the first numbers and 37-38-39 for the last numbers. Only 3 sets fall into the ranges set. 3x3=9 pairings and then we have to fill in the other 3 numbers. We have numbers 04 to 36 or 33 unused numbers and there are 5,456 combinations of 3 in 33.
