$350 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot soars
7th-largest US jackpot ever; 6th-largest cash value
By Todd Northrop
For only the 7th time in the history of United States lotteries, a lottery jackpot has grown to $350 million or more.
The new high-water mark of $350 million for the current Powerball jackpot was achieved after no winning tickets were sold for Saturday night's $270 million grand prize.
The lump-sum cash payout value of Wednesday's Powerball jackpot is $222.8 million. After-tax cash and annuity prize amounts are repo

Multi State Jackpot Fever
Helpmewin:
You have been on this unrelenting campaign to embarrass the Mega Millions by producing this comparative of the two jackpots. Today is D-Day and PB will be brought down. Setting aside our differences, I hope you find yourself among the winners.

What if someone won both??
what if someone won both the PB and MM jackpots?
If it was me, I'd expect to make another $50 to $100 million o rmore selling my informative lottery manual to all the suckers who would line up to pay the low, low price of $19.95.

MM and PB, what if no one wins again...ever?
How high could the jackpots possibly go if there was no winner for each a year from now?
Everyone who has won in the past won because it was too easy for them. That leaves everyone else who can't win. Would it just keep rolling over into the billions of dollars, or just stop at one point?

Richard Lustig why don't you like him?
I would not want someone who has never won a multi-state lottery game to tell me how to play a multi-state game since I have been playing since 1996. So almost 17 years this september and I laugh at him every time I see him on t.v. because he has no claim to a powerball win which he could play in florida. When he wins a powerball jackpot then I will listen to his interviews on t.v. or mega millions when it gets to florida but until then I think he is being deceptive with his book. I would never

Illinois Never Wins Powerball-Why?
Maringoman: l thought the whole point of having jackpots was to see them RISE? In a way l am glad that its going the way it has, with California thrown into the PB mix its exactly as some had foreseen it. Go higher Baby until someone brings you home. There is nothing like getting those adrenaline juices flowing with the thought of winning that entire enchilada.
What's an enchilada Mom?

Tickets, numbers, picks, plays, lines, dollars?
When the jackpots are high, I see people all day long in the stores asking for 5 tickets please
It doesnt make sense to me, but the clerks always just give 5 lines on whatever game is the high JP.

Multi State Jackpot Fever
Will these jackpots survive the weekend?
If MM does roll over tonight, I hope it does so by at least 20m. It's time for MM to ramp things up to build momentum!

How many PB Jackpots do you see California winning in 2013?
the decreasing Powerball sales are mostly due to the fact MM and PB jackpots were nearly identical in cash value. Spending $2 per ticket to try and win almost the same amount doesn't make much sense. If mega millions gets won tomorrow night and the mega millions jackpot is reset to $12 million, then PB sales will definitely pick up.
I volunteer to take the mega millions jackpot tomorrow night, you guys can take PB.
