how often do you play powerball/mega millions in your state?
RJOh and Rick,
I see what you 2 are saying. I guess it makes sense to look at the whole picture more than just the big jackpot prize. To be perfectly honest, right now I shouldn't even be playing Lotto, but I won't stop until I can't pay the rent!
There are so many games that, for me, it would be impossible to play all of them. So we each have our favorites I guess. After Friday night's $1.4M win (another Miami player) I am convinced it's all luck. The MegaMoney numbers were 2-3-4-1

if you found a winning ticket that wasn't yours
You make an excellent point RJOh. I also never pick up a discarded ticket. Maybe I should!
Pac, you are right. However, let me tell you a story. Back in Saint Olaf...... I was at that 7-11 on the corner of Imperial Shores Blvd Bonita Beach Road and handed the clerk my 4 cards with my regular numbers. It was a busy night. I always use a plastic sleeve and keep my cards tickets in it. This was a while back, so I don't remember exactly how it happened, but I do remember that the cle

NEW POLL: Have any of you met a lottery winner?
RJOh, I agree with you that there aren't very many big winners, but I know of many people who won prizes of $5,000 and $10,000, even the Fant 5 for over $100,000. I put the word know in quotes since I really don't know them at all. However, I do know the clerks at Publix where the tickets were bought.
Maybe a lot of members here have dozens of friends, but I don't. So if I could write that I knew several big winners and tell you how it affected them, it wouldn't make much sense, unle

NEW POLL: Have any of you met a lottery winner?
I find this interesting that there have been so few winners where you frequent. The mom and pop store I used to work in had 4/5 winners frequently for Pick 5/Pick 6 and then as soon as I quit someone won the SuperLotto Jackpot. There is another store here,Lichine's Deli and Liquor where there have been 3 Jackpot winners since 2000. It's a little out of the way but I always try to buy my tickets there.
I'd say you're due for a big winner,RJOH! Are you buying tickets somewhere where there's n

Texas Lottery introduces $50 scratch ticket
I doubt it would only be $2, RJOh.
The smallest 'win I have seen on the $20 GA ticket is $20.
At the very least, one can get their original investment back, or at least I hope so.....

N.C. Woman Still Waiting For Lottery Payout
Wow, RJOh, that Kentucky thing is absolutely crazy !!
I travel, so from time to time I will buy some scratchers and then move on... I could be hundreds of miles from where I bought the ticket when I decide to cash it and get more.
That would pi$$ me off big time if the store would not cash it BC I did not buy it from them....
This is another rule that should be made- If you sell tickets at all--- you should cash them as well, regardless of where they were bought. The other option
