Final 2017 MM and/or PB jackpot?
I knew it that Mega Millions is now at 306 million (191.1 million cash value option or lump sum) for 12/29/17 and Powerball at 384 million (239.7 million cash value option or lump sum) for 12/30/17. I think both jackpots will go up and it will be sudden death for both jackpots!

Winning the PB or MM jackpots
With their odds and possible combinations, you have to be mighty lucky regardless of the number of lines you play.

Greatest Combined PB/MM Jackpot?
Mega Millions is at $262 PB is at $220. That's a total of $482 million. Does anyone know what the greatest combined amount was, discounting any record jackpots that skew the data? I don't think I've seen the 2 jackpots this high together before. Have you?

Yea, What about that guy who won 7 supercash jackpots or that guy who won 3 jackpots. Or even some Wisconsin people who won a million on PB? Just another useless media fluff piece.

Wisconsin SuperCash $$
I just wonder what method someone uses when they win multiple Super Cash jackpots. I don't remember anyone winning multiple jackpots over seperate drawings, but there was a case in Marshfield late last year where someone won the jackpot three times on the same drawing. Obviously, this winner had to have picked those numbers at least twice even if the third time was a quick pick. The odds are way too long for someone to have the same numbers come up three different times for the same drawing as q

Mega Millions lottery tickets double to $2 starting in October
Not much fun anymore. The only way it gets exciting is when the jackpots go sky high. But with increased odds and prices, it is going to take a lot longer to reach those type of jackpots.

Both PB & MM are at minimum jackpots
I dont know how you define large. I could live well and happily ever after on last night's jackpot of $60 mil. But for the sake of argument, lets say anything $100 million or higher is large. From 1/2016 to 4/1/2017 there have been 14 jackpots over a $100 million. Half of those jackpots were $200 million and higher.

Big Jackpots over 50 million
There can't be big jackpots if it's split 100 ways and let's not forget the impossible assumption 100 players could all beat over 258 million to 1 odds. And who knows how they could determine which 100 tickets would split the jackpot when players are now complaining that certain states win all the jackpots.

Yikes! Cash Amounts Again!
I doubt that they consider it a risk. They have the option of advertising smaller jackpots that can be paid for with ticket sales and selling fewer tickets, or advertising bigger jackpots that won't be fully funded and selling more tickets. I'm pretty sure they've chosen the option that they think results in the bigger long-term profit.
