Big deal. I won't get excited until I see the jackpot finally break the record and hit $400 at least. Instrad of the predictable wins right before each record is broken. I hope it gets to a billion and I win it then. No one wants to buy $3 tickets almost certain to be losers.

I dont know if we are going to see record jackpots or not, the old powerball had greater odds of winning then mega, yet mega has the highest jackpot between the two. I could be wrong but I thought I read somewhere Powerball used to cap the jackpot increases once it got to a record amount. Do they still do this?

It's only a public record if the law says it is, and in states that allow anonymity that information isn't a public record. I believe there have been cases where the lottery didn't publicize the name of a winner, but since there wasn't a specific allowance to remain anonymous the information was released due to a lawful request.

I would be really surprised if powerball went on a jackpot record run first thing out of the starting gates. Anything can happen in the lottery because they have been only having one second place prize winners for the last two drawings so maybe less combinations are being bought. Well the rule states that when jackpot reaches record level it will slow down by not increasing more than $25million per draw so any extra goes to second prize of five numbers if there is a jackpot winner.so there is no limit on how high it can go just like your wireless service if you use more than 5G they slow down your service.So powerball figured that out too they can slow the jackpot at record level while raking in the profit at maximum speed just like waiting 50yrs on death row oh well enj

The last consecutive number drawn in the midday drawing was 645 drawn on july 3rd . that was 55 days ago ! the previous record for a consecutive number being out in the midday drawing was 52 days ! We are past that 52 day record . They could hit any day now and I think there will be more than one consecutive number being drawn soon . It it funny how anytime the jackpot flirts with breaking the record it is all the sudden won. I knew it would be won this time. I still think it is all BS and fixed. I am sure the next one will be won one draw before potentially breaking the record too, just like the last Powerball one was.

thanks i had it on a record number of tickets... i broke my old record.... i had it last night 20 times 50/50.. it wasn't an exact 50/50 hit, but it was a $40 hit times 20 times, so i got $800
