rjoh i doubt anyone has ever mastered any game so that they keep winning i won 16.5k in 1995 with 3 hits in 2 months in the daily game followed by 5 years of loosing straight in it. finally i gave up playing anything exept jackpot games with large jackpots since i figure if i hit again i want to retire and a pick 3 or 4 game isnt going to do that. that and continually playing games can really add up over time fast. just playing for larger jackpots has been a good way to limit my losses.

I still like my 6/49 Maryland Lotto the best. A high enough payout that I could retire, and a lower odds than the bigger games.

Todd:smd173 and I always diss-cuss this game. The new lottery director seems to have done EVERYTHING ELSE except retire it.I still believe (a modified, especially now that it is expanding beyond its original six states) Hot Lotto should be the replacement game.

If you had a system to beat the lotteries, would you make it public?I think that would ruin it for everyone else if they then take the games away. I think I'd rather quietly hit the occasional jackpot (claimed anonymously in a different trust each time, and spaced far enough apart to keep Uncle Sam from questioning why there are multiple big tax winfalls coming from the same SSN or FEIN).Of course, if I were to win Wednesday's PB... I'd retire from the numbers game ;-)

I envy those retirees that have all the time in the world to come up with something like this. Thanks Rjoh.Just 46 yrs to go til I retire and possibly come up with my personal systems. Who knows, maybe I'll hit the big one by then.

Thanks for the response Lucky. I enjoyed reading your explaination but I have to say I am jealous of your retirement. Maybe after I hit the powerball. My wish is to retire while I am still able to enjoy my health and a wealthy retirement is a dream. With God's help hopefully soon.
