I took your lead and bought one of these at Publix, counter not machine, won 100! However interesting to note it was the number 29- three times for 75$ then 14- for the last 25$. I've never seen a ticket use the same winning number over and over like that? I'm visiting Florida so is this normal play?

So I stopped at one of my places this AM and had the gal pull the last 5 of a $20 Mop'poly book (#s 25 - 29), and also nabbed the last ticket (#29] in one of the $20 Luck slots that were there, and then drew 2 $10 WFL out of the Lotto machine (#s 22 and 23)...plan to scratch them over the weekend

I suppose it's only speculation unless a physical ticket is published by the media with a story. It could have been damaged/lost/thrown away unknowingly within a short time after purchase or the drawing. It could have been in a pair of pants put in the washing machine. It's all speculation. It's one of the benefits to the lottery organization. Every so often large prizes go unclaimed.

This raises a interesting question... will they give up a big win or only small wins. They know the numbers played and if a machine prints a quantity of the same ticket does that effect the outcome clearly that would be going to a single player. Thoughts?

I know. But that doesn't explain why my SELF-PICKED numbers don't match the SELF-PICKED numbers on the ticket. I just got back from the gas station where i bought it. Apparently its been happening to a bunch of people when they buy the tickets. If it's wide spread then I'm sure they'll be a formal release by the lottery about it. If not, then the gas station probably needs a new machine.

Anyone else hear about the IL. lottery instant machine glitch that happened over the weekend?
So apparently there was a glitch with the Illinois lottery Instant Machines over the weekend where you could put in money and whole books of tickets would be dispensed for the price of one ticket and also buy higher priced tickets for less money. I hear some machines were cleaned out. Anyone got any information?

Ok so a strange occurrence earlier today (ok I guess technically yesterday...around 10pm)... i m wrapping up at my nearby Publix and stop at the automated machine to draw a few tickets from on the way out. $20 GRC pops out at ticket # 002 so I m like sure draw the rest. Ran my playslip at CVS this morning and the lady behind the counter told me a funny story. Yesterday this guy brought a supercash playslip in, the lady ran it several times and nothing happened. It seems the guy has been running the same ticket for 7 years and it was in such bad shape the machine couldn't read it. LOL. Who runs the same playslip for 7 years? I fill out a new one every day.
