Fl Monopoly Second Chance Drawing
Don't feel bad wbrightfl - I had over 25,000 entries and didn't win a thing. I wonder if the Florida Lottery knows how many total entries there were for the 2nd drawing ? That would give us some idea of the odds. I'd like to see this and compare it to the odds on scratchers for a $10K prize. IMO this second chance drawing is way too cheesy with just ONE $10,000 prize per draw. The vacations are OK but who's interested in winning a Monopoly game? Would you sit around in your spare time playing th

Mathematics and the Lottery
I have a program where I look at 10000-15000 combinations for each drawing of which I consider 150-300 for my final selection of 20-30 lines.
Lately I've been keeping track of those 150-300 to see if I rejected any winners and I've found I usually reject a match4 and a few match3's every drawing and have rejected what would eventually be a match5 2-5 drawings back twice.
I've been thinking about saving all 10000 to 15000 randomly picked combinations for one drawing to see if I even had a

HOW TO WIN THE LOTTERY? Buy One Ticket.
I AM PLAYING THE DEVIL'S ADVOCATE ON THIS ONE FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS. I have heard and read many times that your best odds are on your first ticket purchase. BUYING MORE THAN ONE TICKET PER DRAWING IS A SUCKER BET. I get tired of buying more than one quick pick ticket per drawing and having 2, 3, 4 etc repeated numbers from the previous drawing. How about buying 2 quick pick tickets and realizing that you only have purchased one combination because the 2 quick pick tickets are identical.

Should lottery winners share with colleagues?
When I was running the office lottery pool, I took an event such as this into account. In the agreement which I drew up, I specified that if the player had joined into the money pool on the previous drawing, and did not make the deadline for the current drawing, they had until the date of the following drawing to pay for that drawing that was missed. This was done in case of illness, injury, or just plain forgetfulness. It was also done for situations such as the one facing the New York Seven. I

Powerball drawing 1-29-2011- Secret Word
Watching the drawing tonight they said something about a secret word and win a laptop....the secret word was ball (I think).
For those who go back that far I thought I was watching the okld Groucho Marx game show where if someone said the secret word a duck came down from above with $50.
I don't see anyhting about this on the PB website. Anybody know anything about it, is it just Florida where the drawing is held?
