$500 MILLION: Powerball jackpot increased to a half-billion dollars
Multiple personalities? Priests and nuns are playing so I know every LP member will be in on this one even where it requires a road trip. Before 2009 I drove from Florida to GA for far smaller Jackpots.

$500 MILLION: Powerball jackpot increased to a half-billion dollars
1. If you want to be a half-billionaire you'd better hope the jackpot gets raised to about $910 million. 2. Don't you mean this is the porridge of lottery jackpots? Or the bed? Probably the latter, because who wouldn't want to roll around naked in half a billion dollars?

$425 MILLION: Largest Powerball lottery jackpot in history
Great question ressucess! I would hope that it would be one winner and I hope it's me!!!! However, I have read and heard people say they would like to see many winners of these gigantic jackpots. Either way, it would be a nice Christmas and Happy New Year for someone.

$425 MILLION: Largest Powerball lottery jackpot in history
I do understand that there are more players in NY and that they have more CHANCES to win over other states but they do not outweigh all the players statewide that participate in the game. I swear it seems like everytime I checked USAMEGA for who won it was NEW YORK. Both jackpot and 2nd prize. Maybe I'm just bias against NY... But I noticed Cali and MI winning a lot too past couple years but NY seems to be on fire. Didn't they win like 2 or 3 JACKPOTS in a row?

$250 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot surges
I kinda went cold turkey on the Powerball but now I have POWERBALL FEVER! I was offered a misprint and declined and just bought my regular quick picks and self pick and then when I got home and thought about how past winners won on misprints I called the store up to see if the $3.00 ticket was still there and it was so I went back out into the cold and bought it! Figured it's Ohio's time to win since we hardly ever win any large jackpots anymore.

Follow-up: Would you take MORE money to NOT remain anonymous?
Coin Toss had a good idea for a follow-up to my last poll. Let's assume that all lotteries already allow you to remain anonymous when collecting your winnings, even for multi-million dollar jackpots. However, as an incentive to subject yourself to the sort of publicity that the lotteries prefer, they're willing to offer you more money on top of the amount you've already won. Would you go for it, or would you be content to stay in the shadows with your advertised winnings?

Should Minors Be Allowed To Play The Lotteries?
The younger crowd don't have the patience and longevity that the elderly players do. In the end, many jackpots are won by long years of steady patience and persistence.
