A call to boycott Mega Millions loto game.
Personally, not a fan of Just the Jackpot. For group pools though, JTJ could be worthwhile. $1 million 2nd place prize split 100 or whatever ways doesn't amount to much. You're spot on about Just the Jackpot players having an advantage.
It wouldn't surprise me to see one or more JTJ winners of a large record breaking jackpot. A possible concern for lotteries though is the negative PR of non-group players wagering with JTJ (Match-5 is 48 times more likely). Probably not a biggie for lottery of

The format I have settled into (so far) seems to work best for my simple ways of trying to find winners.
The date format is of no real meaning other than thats the date for the draw. Then the 3 winning in the order they were drawn. Then a column for the sum next a column for root sum am considering in getting rid of that column. Then the 3 numbers in sequential order then the pairs to record the ones that have fallen.
The data is in a spread sheet and is there to use or copy for any pu

Multi-state Mega Millions lottery game changing this week
I can see it now. Especially in the beginning. Or when there is a near record jackpot, when the people that never play decide to play.
Someone thinks they won the second or third prize, and goes down to cash in their winning ticket only to be told, You didn't win anything. You selected the Just the Jackpot option. And then they will say, No I didn't. What is that? I never heard of it. The clerk must made a mistake.
So if you buy MM tickets, from now on you better make d@mn sure you check

Details of new Illinois Lottery manager deal kept secret
As the Illinois Lottery edges closer to finalizing a massive deal with a new private manager, the state and the firm have chosen to keep many of the details secret despite past pledges of transparency.
The deal includes a tiered incentive system in which the new firm, Camelot Illinois, would be paid bonuses for exceeding various profit levels, documents show. But the proposed dollar amounts are not included.
That was among the few bits of information in the heavily redacted records the sta

Illinois couple claims $393 million Mega Millions lottery jackpot
Congratulations to Joe Patricia Busking !!!
These two record making jackpots have taught me that: I will never tell any other player how they should choose their numbers. All of us who play are 18 years or older and we should be smart enough to make that decision on our own.
Patricia used quick pick while Mavis L. Wancyzk picked her lucky winning numbers.
I will not say, Pick some high and low numbers . NO Mavis won with her families birthday numbers.
I feel privileged to be ab

Massachusetts woman wastes no time claiming $758.7 million Powerball lottery jackpot
This lady didn't wait either:
A Georgia woman named Ira Curry has come forward as one of two winners of the $648 million Mega Millions jackpot, less than 24 hours after the lucky drawing for the second biggest lottery jackpot in U.S. history, a lottery official said Wednesday.
Curry, 56, did not appear at an afternoon news conference announcing her as the winner. A state lottery spokeswoman said she was taking the lump sum payment for her share of the jackpot, valued at over $173 million.

$650 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot skyrockets
You'd certainly think it would increase, wouldn't you? Now it's past midnight on Tuesday and they haven't even bumped it up to 675. Maybe enough people were so distracted by the eclipse that they haven't noticed the giant jackpot yet and sales will really jump later today. Maybe MUSL just thinks eclipse fever is affecting the portion of sales that normally happen on Sunday and Monday, and they're waiting until they're more confident about their new prediction for Wednesday night's total.

$510 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot soars into top 10
8th-largest US jackpot ever
By Todd Northrop
August has been a hot month for lottery jackpot chasers, with both Mega Millions and Powerball simultaneously reaching massive levels. Even though Mega Millions has been won, Powerball continues to roll, now surpassing the half-billion dollar mark.
Between now and Saturday evening, anyone can walk into a store and buy a lottery ticket for a couple of bucks that has the potential of winning $510 million which may quite possibly be much higher

I have to believe this is obvious to most players, but for what it's worth I'll throw it out here.
In most months, the top hitter for the month will have seven or eight hits. Sure, there have been months when a number had nine or ten hits, but those are rare. For the record, I've seen months when a number had eleven hits, and in January of 2010 #7 had a whopping twelve hits, but that's super rare.
So we know that at the start of every new month we can count on at least one number to get ho
