??Forking over EXTRA CASH when Jackpots SKYROCKET??
I didn't vote because my option isnt listed... its the 0 dollar option.
When jackpots get ' ber' high, that is when I clamp down with extra-self control and make sure I spend nothing extra. I am much more likely to spend an extra buck or 2 when its a low jackpot - or on a hunch (those work out well for everyone) - or as a gift (and no I do NOT choose to sign the back of the ticket-gifts) - or if I happen to need a bookmark (yes I have done that).

Two workers in lottery pool sue over $118 million ticket
Jose Franco and Marco Medina were regular participants in a lottery pool with co-workers at the bakery for about a year, according to the suit.
I see nothing wrong with occasionally pooling when the jackpots are huge, but this is exactly what happens when pools are played every week and some players are in some drawings and out others. The difference in this story is the previous winnings were part of the pool and if a share of the winnings belonged to these two, they have an excellent law

Will Powerball officials concede?
I do not think that powerball has to do anything but be powerball. If you do not like the $2 and $3 tickets then you can play mega millions which is having a good year because of this record run they had. But powerball is still doing good too. I do not know if powerball can have a record run like mega millions but it would be nice to see this year. I like that the jackpot grows faster in powerball now so going back to $1 and $20 million starting pots would be foolish in my opinion. They are goin

Record Jackpots
I have to say here how disappointed in powerball I am. I really thought with the $2 ticket price we would get to see the big jackpots coming from them. How can I justify my backing and supporting the Powerball price hike when they completely screwed us all the way around? I can't. I can't even say I'm excited about the second tier prizes anymore. Have you noticed how few winners we now have since the price hike? They up'd the cost and the amount and took away the winners... which is the point of

Six $1M Powerball tickets claimed by one Arizona winner
With millions of PB and MM players and the number of yearly jackpots won, how can anyone expect to win either game once?
I'm sticking to my story; the reason the guy wanted to be anonymous is because all six tickets had the same five numbers and the same bonus number.

Take Five Sets (13 Number Limit)
thanks canjun, you inspired me to try and get back on track...my intuition tells me we may be using essentially the same system...developed separately...
the jackpots should start rolling...

Lottery leaders convene in D.C. to discuss future of games
I agree 100%
Unless the jackpots are starting at 100m and rolling over by a minimum of 25m and even then I won't jump on the bandwagon until it climbs to 1billion!

Quick Picks Just Plain Suck Sometimes
well of course I am keeping them! lol I would certainly not throw my $2 away AGAIN, I already did that once when I first purchased the ticket. Yes as THRIFTY would be sure to inform everyone, the Powerball website says that 70% of jackpot winners win the jackpots 70% of the time. That's exactly why I throw a few quick picks on my tickets in addition to my statistically chosen numbers. Sometimes you need the quirky, out-of-the-box insane combinations of numbers to hit the jackpot and be the only
