Oregon Lottery winner won't retire
You've just won the Oregon Lottery Win for Life game, so how do you celebrate? By dining at Marco Polo Global Restaurant, of course. That's what Shamus Harmon did last week after claiming his Win for Life prize at Oregon Lottery headquarters. I am one of the most boring lotto winners, I'm sure, he said. Or one of the smartest. Harmon, a 34-year-old safety trainer who lives in Salem, said his first plan for the windfall is to pay off his mortgage within five years. He will rece

Psychic quits job after winning the lottery
One of the United Kingdom's best-known psychics has packed away her crystal ball after winning a lotto jackpot. Beti Schulz, 71, landed 2.2 million (US$3.5 million) when her numbers came up in the UK National Lottery. Now, the clairvoyant has decided to retire after spending almost 40 years predicting the future. A pal said, Beti had a lot of fans and they are very disappointed that she is calling it a day. But they are also delighted for her because she has been so good to them. Pa

I reread back some of the past questions. I can understand a little more nowto ChelleNC we aren't being rude by not answering on workouts or systems it is up to the individual posters to share or not share .At the end of the day that's why we are a community we may share a number but not share how we arrived at the number. Vergie post the TTT that helps but may have a lag in the draw ....and other posters help as well there are some great posters here and all over LP as well. Raven doesn

If a sibling of yours won a lottery jackpot, how much would you expect to be given?
I am the OP. To clarify what I meant. Say your sibling won $16,000,000 CASH AFTER taxes. That is an advertised jackpot amount of probably around $50,000,000. A sizeable jackpot. This is an amount anyone SHOULD be able to live VERY comfortably. Where if your sibling gave away $10,000, he or she wouldn't feel it. If I had a sibling win that amount, I would still only expect $10 K. First off, if I won that amount, I would go on permanent vacation. Although $16,000,000 is a lot of mo

Anybody playing lottery out of revenge?
I can't say what I would do exactly, but it depends on the amount won. If it was a lot, I would retire and I would allow my mom to retire and I would get to help myself and those closest to me do the things that we can't do at the moment. I'm not playing out of revenge though. I'm playing for the chance of being financial set. There have been people who have hurt me in my life and I understand wanting revenge, but what is that old saying? Living well and being happy is the best revenge. To

Financial Planner? Here's one...
he would have suggested they would be better off investing that money and not play the lottery Anyone who goes to a financial advisor after winning doesn't need advice on what would be better than spending $10 a week on the lottery, but if financial advisors had to rely on lottery winners to make a living there would be a lot less advisors. The vast majority of people who consult financial advisors haven't won the lottery, and he'd be right for better than 99.9% of the people that got that
