RJOh I assume LP members understand people come to LP to share their ideas not their money. For those already here, sure...but if someone here did pop a jackpot, and announced it, no one will convince me that there wouldn't be some not-so-well-intentioned people joining the site just to try and make contact with that person- and hit them with the sob story of the century. Even just a mere rumor that someone here hit a huge jackpot would trigger that.

I had considered it, but after reading all the negative articles (as RJOh mentioned) I think there might be too many problems. However, if I were a member of a pool I would definitely want a written agreement signed by all members. I would also want it to be mandatory that all members play every week or not at all. Many people don't have the extra money but, if possible, I'd want members to contribute the first of every month so the pool administrator wouldn't have to run around collecting the m

I do recall that there was another winner of a large jackpot (from Florida, I think) who tried to donate to Salvation Army, and that donation was refused. Yes, Uff Da. He lives on Marco Island about 35 miles south of me. The Salvation Army will not accept charitable donations if the person won the money gambling.
