Systems Vs. Numbers-The Big Question
paneagle, I am still trying to decipher your post about predicting winners from prior race results. If you have the time you should read my post in the mathematics forum where I address how add ups and subs work in racing in relation to order of finish. Is this just your own observational experience that has come up with this theory? Have you ever work at any track in the Mutuels or TOTE department? Do you have a good grasp of net pool pricing, comingling of pools or understand take out, minu

This is one of my systems
Turns out that the process I used to select the Combinations in the Prediction produced combinations that Rarely Hit. As I said in the prediction, the process looks back at 3000 Games and finds the Hits for 31 Start Days together with the Number of days from the Start to the actual Hit. I am calling this value the Start_Skip . Her is how it works. Example 1: Start_Day = 1. Current Day = 5. That means there are 4 Draws in the books for that Start Day, and a hit would happen at Start_Skip Valu

Take5 NY
'Player, Does all of this chatter about prize pool allocation make you wonder what Md's Bonus Match5 allocation is? It made me curious about it. So I just scoured The Md Lottery's website looking for it. Don't bother, it aint there. But what is there is an email address where somebody could email them questions.... I didn't send them an email, but maybe you want to? Be interesting to see what they say. G5

State lotteries losing revenue to 'jackpot fatigue' and casinos
Ron, Please pardon my ignorance, but it's not completely clear to me what you mean when you say payback. To my mind, payback means the amount of money any state lottery would return to players via winnings. So if any given game pays back 40%, then out of a pool of $100,000 wagered by players, the state would keep $60,000, and return to players $40,000 via winning tickets. Maybe I'm correct, but my gut is telling me that's overly simplistic. Thanks! G5

Serious Question? lottery pre-draw tests
True. How can something that is drawn from such secured machine(physically), that has no parameterization except duration between pulling a ball from the pool categorized as not so random. What makes them come to a conclusion that it's not random.

Revisiting "Formula for Probable Recurrent Points for Lottery/Lotto"
adobea78, what SORCERY is this? I stumbled upon this thread and for snip s and giggles did some back-testing on Connecticut's 5/35, and the first one I checked, BAM! JACKPOT! I checked at least 10 others and got (4) 4 of 5's as well! The pool size could use some filtering (typically around 100), but hot snip it seems like there's something really good here! https://www.lotterypost.com/thread/268220 This post has been automatically changed by the Lottery Post computer system to remove

$447.8 million winning Powerball lottery ticket sold in California
Yep, sad the 2nd place CA winners to only get $322K while a similar winner in Ohio getting $1 million. An all too common occurrence. Given the high level of sales, presumably there were enough sales to fully pay both 2nd prize winners. However, it seems CA Lottery spreads much of the prize pool to the lower prizes first and then whatever left towards the higher tier prizes. While I generally discourage playing out of state, for CA players, it may be worth the extra drive. Though it's a gamble
