$5 lottery purchase yields $16.5 million for Ohio man
bambini...in a press release on the Ohio Lottery website it says The winner used the auto lotto feature when purchasing the ticket. Unless that is some sort of system that lets your car (auto) pick your nunbers, it was another quick pick win.

Odds/Number Of Tickets
The whole point about consistently playing one or more tickets is to try and deture the luck factor...not that there is anyone who can honestly say that they don't need it for these kind of games. Point is, the larger lotteries are most often won with quick picks because the amount of different combinations sold via quick pick represents the largest portion/fraction of different combinations being played against the total amount of combinations which are possible in any given drawing. So

So does anyone here win regularly?
I win the pick 3 about once a week, I am one number off so many times it builds confidence or a false sense of hope. Closest to some real money was 4 out of 5 on Little Lotto 5/39 on a quick pick. I prefer to play my own numbers but I usually do 2 or 3 bucks on quick picks daily

Personal Numbers
I agree with your theory, Guesser. I've studied the numbers drawn in FL over the past 10 years and there have been few draws where the 6 numbers are all under 30. However, what if one of these 2 winners had been playing for 10 years and then read an article explaining this fact, that is, he should stop and pick some other numbers or get a quick pick instead. He'd be very upset now, wouldn't he? This was my point. I realize that the odds were not in their favor picking such low numbers. Howev

Quick Pick
I'm seeing more and more posts of systems to predict powerball winning numbers ... in my researh I see more winners by QP and guesses than by using systems. For instance my gal and I have won money 5 times by QP and none by choice! Are there any others who can relate???

If you had to play 1000 PB/MM tickets,
Good idea. I will pick some numbers until it makes me boring. Then the rest would go to quick pick.

Do you buy the mistakes?
Thanks justxploring. That's not the first time it has happened to me. I have also been very fortunate enough not to have the wrong number punched in and my number came out. I might add also that the 50/50 section on the North Carolina game card was not working yesterday. Everytime you marked the 50/50 box it wouldn't process the ticket. Went to 2 stores before we figured that out. and they still would not cancel the ticket. The first day was kinda crazy there. So was the first number

Stream of Jackpot Winners
To me, the difference between $15M and $204M is I would buy more tickets when jackpots reach the levels of giant piggy bank. I often handpick numbers when jackpots are under $20M, but I buy quick pick now. I just let the numbers choose me because I am tired of coming up with some good numbers and dreaming that I would hit the jackpot. A combine of handpick and quick pick would be fun for me now. CA SuperLotto Plus is growing. I hope the pig will mature at $100M before someone bring it ho

What was the deal with Powerball?
I think even engineers who've designed that software have no ideas what numbers going to come next. All we can do is blame the randomness of computer. Let's just pick the winning number next times. Who knows #7 may come up again. I bet somebody will play #7, whereas some who get #7 on their quick pick gonna complain that #7 will not come out next draw. --------------------- God never satisfied all people. Some lose, some win!

describe how you got started with playing the lottery
I guess you would call me a minority. I'm one of the few YOUNG players here. I'm only 19 so I've not been playing that long. My parents loved to play when I was younger and I would also help scratch their tickets and I helped pick numbers for them. (I won my mother $1000 before). So when I turned 18 I thought I would try. Ever since then I've been buying scratchoffs (my favorite again another minority) and I always have a pick on Lotto and Powerball. I play the same numbers and choose q
