When players realize except playing for larger jackpots with $10M rollovers and winning $1M for matching 5+0, they didn't gain much for their extra dollar, they may think twice before buying the $2 ticket. Payouts for a match 4+0 and lower will be the same as they are now with a $1 ticket. A $1 MM and a $2 PB ticket will pay $10K for a match 4+1 and lets face it, 95%+ of players never do any better than that.

I don't see why. For me $5 million or $500 million is the same, I would not spend all of either and still be happy. $500 million would draw a lot more media, taxes, and unwanted attention also. You got a lot of greedy people who want a billion dollars yet they could not even manage $5 million or spend it, unless they blew it all. So the larger jackpots do not entice me much more. I will take $5-$20 million and be happy. The rest is just bonus money.

i think the jackpot will come out to: $600 Million [the ones for: $2 or $3 the ticket... what i want??? i want you all to take: $1.2 Billion dollars and build: 240 Gyms Establishments in FINLAND-NORWAY-SWEEDEN....it should totall out to: $1.2 Billion dollars...equivalent to like: 2 jackpots of: $2 or $3 the ticket...thats it...thats all i ask...

Although higher jackpots would seem more exciting that is too much to lose for a ticket. I got sick of the powerball losses years ago. As I said for years until I see proof that somone actually won I won't believe it. It is always fishy to me how bith PB and MM are won right before they break anymore records. I not 100% conivced they are scams or that they determine who wins, but seeing is believing and I have never seen #%$@ in real life that anyone has ever won. And I don't believe everything

Well I agree with LottoLin, but I'm such an addict I can't stop playing. (Something inside still says I will win someday soon....like all addicts do.) I keep track of such things and have noticed where the bulk of the money goes. Was wondering if anyone else had noticed too. I thought that we were playing against chance pure and simple.The lottery in new york state is not a random game of chance because the areas that buy the most tickets are not winning the big jackpots.Buying more tickets gets you more shots at the target, but that is not happening in areas that play the most in new york state. No, i am not going to long island to play the lottery.I prefer to play less and voice my opinions in order to bring some integrity to lottery games in new york state.
