If you win $1M or more, would you let LP members know about it?
That's what I thought when I first saw this post. After I claimed my winnings, my name would be public record. I don't think the few LP members that *might* bug me about wanting part of my winnings would add all that much of a percentage to the number of other people I'm sure would be bugging me. I haven't been a member in here for all that long, but before that I lurked for several years, reading the posts that interested me and I've grown fond of some of the folks in here - sometimes you

Rollover probabilities for Powerball at $400M annuity.
The expectation value as calculated includes values for all of the lower prizes, which amounts to about .18, as well as the weighted values calculated from the probabilities of numbers of winners based on projected sales, as calculated from a Poisson distribution assuming randomized tickets, as well as the advertised cash value and the odds of any particular ticket winning, which are of course constant. In this case, the chief contribution is a single winner, which adds 0.51 to my calculated exp

Minx....it's not going to make a difference if you track 1 draw or even 2 draws as long as it's the same one(s) from day to day. I am continuing to track the Noon and Night and it isn't making any difference in what my projections are from the Noon to Night back to Noon the next day. The Numbers Out, Sum Totals, Pattern Projections are the same. I don't even look at the AM or Evening draws. The numbers are not magically attached to each other. You could track 1 draw per day as long as it was the

COMPUTERIZED DRAWING GLITCH STRIKES ARIZONA LOTTERY
Some states might just turn on the machines before the live drawings to make sure all the mechanical parts are working properly. Lots of drawings show all ten balls dropping into the machine before the forced air is turned on. Which balls ended up in the top of the tube during the mechanical test are irrelevant to the test and not recorded. It might not even be the same set of balls used for the real drawing. It looks like Texas is testing more for bias than a mechanical malfunction and are r

Your Welcome - This was an unusual occurence for the 10 digits that I wanted to point out what was going on. Most people keep a Numbers Out by keeping a list of all 10 digits and making a notation beside each of the 10 digits how many draws it's been since they drew. That's what most lottery software does when they provide charts to analysis. If you will do the opposite and make your list of the same digits that have been out the same number of times it helps to determine what digits to use.

Do you generally play both major jackpots regardless of the amount?
Most weeks I hit both draws for the MM, PB and CA SuperLotto. I might go a little crazy and buy a couple extra tickets for a high JP, but I'll still buy if the pot's just been reset. Let's say you win the CASL on the first draw after a win. That's an advertised JP of $7mil with a CV around $4mil. Assuming you're a CA resident, there are no state income taxes, so roughly $2.5 mil after the Feds take their 39.5%. No, I wouldn't be able to never work another day in my life. The life ex
